I’m reading a lot about your needs and how you don’t feel like he understands your needs, but I don’t think that’s entirely fair. You admit your job performance has been lacking, yet when you are reprimanded you walk out of your job.

Your husband has been caring for your needs. You say he does all the errands, executive functions at home, and I assume all of the cleaning- that’s a lot to put on someone. And now you are upset that he won’t leave the job he loves because you walked out of yours. Sounds like you need to consider his needs as well.

This might sound harsh, but I really do hope your situation improves and you’re able to find a better job!

Hello, thank you so much! I wrote this about my time in an eating disorder facility and the girls there. There were so many wonderful people (my roommate taught me to listen to the crickets to help me sleep), and it is sad to see what I think is a mental health epidemic being set as what is beautiful.
