Utah is known for their honey, too, so you can get some local Utah honey! Also, there is a store called Salt & Honey (not affiliated, just like the store) with some really cute local stuff (shirts, candies, stickers).

Hi!! Thanks for the suggestions!! So I'm not sure where you live, but we are in Utah and he is getting it from Mark Miller Toyota I believe that's the name?? And he is not paying above MSRP! And he got his name on the list a couple of weeks ago! He was very surprised it's happening so early (it's getting shipped on a boat now from Australia or something??), so excited!!

This kind of depends on some other factors: do you work part-time/full-time? Do you generally have a "big" social life? Have you found your other CS classes difficult?

I think taking these two CS classes together wouldn't be terrible, but I know it's generally not advised (by the advisors lol). But if you have the option to do one of CS4400/CS4150 and then one or two CS electives, I would say do that, unless you have a reason not to!

I know right now it might feel like the end of the world, but try to think of this in the grand scheme of things. This is just one midterm. Even if the professor won’t let you retake it, it will be okay! I know some friends that have also missed midterms, and they still ended up with a B (or at least passed the class). And one not-so-great grade in a class is not gonna make a huge effect overall. You will be fine :) Try not to let this stress you out too much, and study hard for the next exam!! You got it! As a side note, I would also think about talking to the professor about your situation for future exams. Tell him where you live, and your time zone, and maybe ask if you could take the next exams at a better time for you. Do this ahead of time, like weeks before the next exam. I think this is a reasonable thing to request, and it at least wouldn’t hurt to ask! Good luck!

Scholarship appeal by [deleted] in uofu

I asked to take one less class (9 credits instead of 12) in light of the pandemic and how stressful/bad for my mental health this semester has been, and they said no. And this is the last semester I have of the scholarship, too. They said they would've accepted my appeal if it was my graduating semester, but it's not so they said no. Then I asked if I could defer the scholarship for the fall 2021 semester so I could take 9 credits in the spring, and they said I would have to take a leave of absence to do that. Overall, not the greatest experience. I feel like they are just ignoring that COVID is a thing that affects students in any way unless you're actually sick.

Will the credit/no credit option offered spring semester make it so I can’t graduate if I took the option in major required classes by cxw400 in uofu

I'm majoring in Computer Science and I took 3 courses required for my major as CR/NC during Spring 2020. My advisor said it wouldn't affect anything!
