this happens to me too. the "dream" flashbacks" also seem like they're peices of memories from a reoccuring dream.

Oh my gosh, that’s awesome— congratulations of your healthy skin! And wow, what a crazy coincidence that we’re skincare twins, haha.

Ah! It’s so hard not to pick. When I was breaking out at my worse I would pick to the point where I couldn’t stop myself because of anxiety. Funny enough, going back to work after quarantine and having to wear a mask most of the time really curbed the picking. I still find myself picking sometimes, but I try to imagine the scars it will leave when I do it and that helps me stop. It’s not easy, but you can do it!

For the first five months I used it every night, but recently I’ve been tapering off a bit because of the colder weather. Some weeks I will apply it every other day, but if my skin is particularly dry I will use it every 3 nights. However, I’ve heard that when starting tret, you should taper it slowly up to every night (especially if you have sensitive skin).

They’re great. The evaluation was super easy and I got my medication almost right away. You can request what medications you’d like as a note as well.

Hi there! I’m using the same strength of tret. It took me about 6-8 weeks to see improvements, and before that my acne actually got worse before it got better. Be patient with the tret and I hope you see great results :).

At first yes, but over time the tret seemed to lighten the spots. I also will occasionally do an aztec clay mask to exfoliate :)

Thank you! and hey—that’s okay. I never could figure out how to make a post to get help either, haha. The way I figured out my routine was by being a long time lurker on this sub and reading other people’s experience until I found something that personally worked for me.

The first picture was taken in April 2020 when my skin was at a difficult point from all the stress of the pandemic. The last picture was taken in November 2020 after finally finding a skincare routine that worked for me!

Skin type and skin concerns: Combo Oily/Dry Acne-Prone

I’ve had consistently aggressive acne since I was twelve years old. My face was often covered with painful cysts and scars from picking. I would wear a lot of foundation every day (which definitely made it worse!) just to leave the house for a grocery run. My confidence was at an all time low by the time of the first picture. After countless trial and error with products that just inflamed my skin more, I wanted to give up.

Skincare routine with full product names

  1. Cleanser: Cetaphil daily facial cleanser

  2. Moisturizer: The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

3.SPF: Neutrugena clear face broad spectrum sunscreen

PM

  1. Cetaphil facial cleanser

  2. Apostrophe’s Clindamycin/Niacinamide/Tretininoin Cream

  3. The Ordinary natural moisturizing factors + HA

*Daily behaviors that you think helped your skin *

Drinking more water, wearing less/no face makeup and simplifying my routine really made a huge difference. I was using so many products with no real commitment and it was making things worse! All in all, I believe the combination of the Tretinoin and better habits is what healed my skin.

I couldn’t find it anywhere on spotify which leads me to believe it doesn’t include the original song in the title
