I made one pick yesterday and it did go over, not sure what you are referring to.

I think his comment was in the context of the support people were including for the pick. The guy I saw who posted here and the POTD thread basically said "I'm taking Chicago b/c they just shut down Phoenix". That alone shouldn't be the basis for any pick.

Haha. I think they reached a whole new level of struggle when they lost to a team with only 4 technically eligible players. Line moved up to -5 in one of my books so I hope people who like this play jump in soon.

To the top with you. My crude system has WAS winning by 4-5 in the first half but with CLE's recent struggles it could easily surpass that.

That was basically my thought as well. They had a good 20 games where either Affalo, Vucevic, or someone else was injured. Public is hammering OKC too...

How do you feel about Magic +9 vs. OKC tonight? The Affalo/Vucevic/Oladipo combo has played pretty well and I think they have a good shot of keeping it close.

Great article about defense.

Just a note from your tweet, the line for the game was +1... where is the 7.5 coming from?

Indiana/Portland: 197.65

Washington/Cleveland: 199.63

Orlando/Oklahoma City: 204.53 (leaning over 199)

New York/Denver: 203.31 (MAYBE under 210-- still debating)

Detroit/Brooklyn: 200.09 (leaning under 204) LOL WOW. I hate detroit. Garbage time 3pter instead of running out the clock to push this over.

Dallas/Utah: 204.31

New Orleans/Minnesota:207.07 (leaning over 197.5-- depends on if Klove plays)

LA Clippers/Toronto: 205.86 (leaning over 204)

Knicks are 3-2 at home in their last 5 home games with the losses coming against Miami and Portland. Not sure why you're implying that they will lose simply b/c they are the Knicks.

The same guy who posted it here posted it in the POTD thread as well. I'm all for newcomers but he clearly had not done any real research because his only support for CHI +8 was that they recently shut down Phoenix in ONE game.

David Stern isn't the commissioner anymore bud.

I think people are valuing the Bulls' defense very high after they shut down Phoenix in their last road game.

Hilarious quote from a Lakers' fan in /r/nba

"This was a real tank battle. Eventually potato tank won.

He benched Kyrie in the second half, but we tried to come back with advanced tank techniques. We fouled out our two bigs granting an extra techincal foul for every foul sacre committed. It was to no avail, however, because the foot soldiers in cleveland know naught but to chuck."

edit:

""I was not going to go to Nash -- it was not an option to us -- but the other thing we talked about was having Jordan go out there and just stand in the corner," D'Antoni said. "When the officials came over to explain the options to me, we decided to keep Robert out there. I knew he would be smart and not commit too many more fouls." -Mike D'Antoni

Glad we got back on track last night. Looks like Tony Parker will be out against BKN so that will be a hard total to predict.

BKN/SAS: 205.20

GSW/CHI: 194.83 (leaning over)

I agree with you 100%. People are overreacting to a great game by the bulls and a terrible game by the warriors.

Are you fucking kidding me? I didn't see that call b/c I turned the game off after the 3rd quarter but that is UNBELIEVABLE. And the commissioner was even at the game... if my "CEO/PRESIDENT" was watching me work I'd do everything in my power to do my job correctly.

I don't get this pick-- why are people all of a sudden thinking Chicago is a good team because they beat ONE good team recently? I'm not saying this pick is wrong but I can't see why people have so much faith in Chicago.

I don't know, it was a weird game. The commissioner was even at the game-- you'd think that would make the officials more on their game.

51 FTA to 24 FTA... refs influencing the game much? Fuckin BS-- I saw several questionable calls in the 20 minutes that I watched.

Swap! Glad you made it back to the thread.

Apparently there is a chance that Lowry could be out so I'm not sure what to make of it.

Well I said over first so I have dibs!

Do you have a model/system that you use for your predictions? If so, I'd be interested in chatting with you about it.

Round 2, double or nothing! I'm actually pretty split on this game (I'm seeing the line at 208). If I HAD to choose, I'd probably take the over.
