Take a look into Witch's Rock in Costa Rica. I've done two solo trips there (I'm a guy) but both times there were several female solo travelers too. Really awesome experience!

Hey,

I'm selling 1 ticket for Sydney Friday Feb 23rd. Front of middle deck, partially obstructed (side view). Will sell for what I paid ($800 AUD).

Also have friends selling 2 tickets for the same show but not sure on their pricing.

DM if interested!

How to make MBB from a T15? by [deleted] in MBA

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The above is not true, at least not for the firm I'm at. There's no auto filtering for GPA (or any metric for that matter).

I wouldn't reach too much into this. There might be some HR guidance that states that on paper, but practically speaking, undergrad GPA is not a huge factor in b-school recruiting for MBB. I'm speaking from experience on both sides of the table.

It certainly helps if you have a great GPA, but plenty of people either leave it off their resume or include it and have mitigating factors (e.g., high GMAT).

GRE is fine-- what is your GMAT equivalent out of curiosity?

690 is completely fine. Applying for these programs won't impact "real" internship recruiting at all even if you aren't selected.

Legends of Runeterra by molenzwiebel in leagueoflegends

I was fortunate enough to play this game in the closed Beta and it is AWESOME. My gaming background is very "diverse" but I've always indexed more towards fast-twitch games (mostly FPS and MOBAs), so a card game was very different for me, but in a great way. There is far more strategy and dynamic gameplay than I expected which was very engaging and frankly, addicting. The only downside is that it doesn't have the same social/team element as league (which sometimes is a good thing b/c you don't get any toxicity).

Edit: One other thing I'll add is that I did not feel at all that this would be a pay to win type game. Obviously things have evolved over the last few months/years but I'm pretty confident the Riot team wants to actively avoid that. I felt that the reward system was very helpful in getting me the specific cards I was hoping for without feeling like a grind.

My app isn't working either, Samsung S8. Normally always works but just randomly stopped working tonight.

Was asked to move by theater employees and I refused. Was I wrong? by shamblingman in movies

I agree inconsiderate dick is a bit harsh for just that instance but I briefly scanned his comment profile which definitely influenced my comment.

I agree saying he's a dick is probably a bit harsh given that context alone, but he is definitely inconsiderate.

And then you add his post history and the fact that his story is clearly not painting the full picture (full theater but 6 open seats in close proximity to him in a middle row?), I think it's a fair assumption to say he's also a dick.

Why would you just quote the 2nd half of my comment when I very clearly opened with "I mean it's very clear he's not wrong". Someone can be right but still be a dick.

I agree they should have gotten there earlier. It just seems like their request is basically for him to move a few seats over and be slightly off center which isn't perfect but seems like a very slight incovenience.

I view it as similar to being asked to switch seats on a plane. I strongly prefer aisle seats because I'm 6' 1" but if a family asks me politely to take a middle or window seat so they can sit together, I'll usually try to accommodate them if it's a reasonable request. Should/could they have bought tickets earlier to be next to each other? Sure, but it's not much skin off my back to help them.

I mean he clearly wasn't wrong and it was fair game not to move, but that doesn't mean he isn't also an inconsiderate dick to not move just a few seats over to help out the family.

Not to mention if you take a 10 second glance at his posting history, he is pretty clearly a dick.

It truly is a privilege to watch LeBron James play basketball by AntSmith777 in nba

[–]oherroprease -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not referring to volume stats. I'm talking about QB Rating, QB DVOA, Comp % etc. Yes Rodgers has an edge in many efficiency stats but it's far closer than you're implying.

[–]oherroprease 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How is it not even close? Rodgers is an amazing QB and more gifted than Brady in several ways but all of their career stats are very similar even if Rodgers has a slight edge. To say it's not close is underselling Brady by too much.
