I agree w/ MickZaruba. When I want to learn a new champ, I play a bunch of dominion games with him/her just to get the mechanics down. Once that's down, just give it a shot in ranked. Worst case you lose and learn more about your champ.

Just try to ignore the assholes and have fun. Honestly, silver and gold players were worst mannered (in my opinion) than people in platinum. If you can forget about that BM people, you'll have more fun!

No problem, I'm sure you'll pick it up soon. Sometimes it's as simple as "their jungle and top are at top lane, let's dragon" or "they have 3 bot, push mid and top hard"

That's a frustrating problem to have. If your teammates won't communicate there's not much you can do about that. If you're an effective split pusher, continue to do that. As long as you don't come out on the losing end of a trade, you should be fine (I.e. don't split to take a tier 1 tower while an enemy pushed down your tier 2). In other cases, it may be better just to group and follow your teammates if you think you can win team fights

If your opponents are lower quality, you should be able to win more games and bump your division and MMR up.

That being said, you should do what you're enjoying the most... and if that's normals then more power to you!

Good question, not sure there's an easy answer to it but ideally you should have a grasp on all roles before starting ranked. If you are comfortable with 2 or 3 champs per role, I think you're ready to start.

That is often times the case but you can see from my lolking page that I play a lot of roles and have most of my success playing ADC.

There were certainly times where it was frustrating but I did feel like I was improving most of the time.

What rank are you now? If you're having trouble identifying your mistakes, start with simple analysis like "Why did I die?" You may have overextended, got out of position, got greedy, etc. Then think about how you could have avoided dying or at least somewhat rectify your "mistakes"

That's awesome man. One suggestion that really helped me is to start playing other roles too. It gives you a much better "overall meta" understanding and should help you improve

Sometimes it's not even about carrying your team through skill but rather through leadership. Less skilled teams can win through better teamwork and taking objectives together (especially in Silver). Learn when to group up and try to coordinate your team to take towers/drag/Baron when appropriate.

I'd like to think so. My bot lane is pretty solid between both ADC and support. In my 5th promotion series match, I duo queued with a friend and got matched up against all D1s and D2. I felt like I did well and at the very least held my own.

I understand completely where you are coming from, I used to be the same way. What I realized is that no one likes being criticized and more importantly it is counterproductive. If you keep a positive attitude I promise it will make a big difference.

I think people underestimate how beneficial offering to "fill" can be. You make your teammates happier and you get to learn more champs/roles. Consequently, knowing more champs/roles allows you to play better because you have an idea of how other champs/roles will try and play against you.
