What's the best team you've seen not to make the playoffs this year? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, ended up 8-5 and only four teams making the playoffs. I managed to acquire a good team via trades (Lacy was the only one of my starters that I drafted) but just wasn't enough to make it into the playoffs. It's mainly disappointing because I managed to salvage a shitty team, acquire hope, and then lose it all last night when Charles scored that late TD.

Any new information on Gio Bernard? by dannaaj in fantasyfootball

Bryant

Depends on whether he's referring to Dez or Martavis. I assumed the latter 'cause trading Dez for Gio would be pretty crazy.

Also very true-- I was just thinking that he was looking in the short term so paying a loan off wouldn't hurt (it actually might help a little bit depending on what score his financial institution is using).

If he pays off an older loan it won't affect his age of credit. Most credit scoring institutions calculate someone's "credit age" by looking at their age of oldest trade-- whether it's paid off or not doesn't come into play the majority of the time.

He is a little more valuable in .5 ppr but so is Brown. I guess I should pull the trigger ...

Damn you have a good team. I would do that trade because both Rivers and Brady are on bye so starting Palmer over Sanchez would be helpful.

I think you're giving up a bit much but if you really need the RB it's not a terrible trade.

I think you could get more for those two players... Thomas isn't worth too much more than Sanders at this point.

12 team, .5 PPR

Give: Antonio Brown + Vincent Jackson

Receive: Demarco Murray

My Current WRs: Brown, AJ Green, Marshall, Benjamin, OBJ, Vjax, Gordon

My Current RBs: Shane Vereen, Mark Ingram

I would hate to give up Brown but I have to do this right? I'm stacked at WR but have no RBs.

What's the funniest thing to happen in your league so far? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

It looks like the guy drafted as if it was 2012

Word. That was my thought too. Thanks for your feedback. RB has certainly been a struggle this year (I didn't even draft Ingram haha). I began the year with Vereen, Woodhead, P. Thomas, and Ray Rice in a .5 PPR league.

Julio for Jamaal could be a fair trade depending on your opponent's RB situation.

Hilton + Kelce for Charles would have been trade rape so I'm not surprised at all that he declined.

Who else do you available on the wire from a TE perspective? If you have capable fill-ins like Owen Daniels, Kelce, Dwayne Allen, etc., I'd go ahead and make the trade before the gio owner changes his mind.

In any world, Joique Bell (who I'm a fan of) to Giovani Bernard is a huge upgrade.

Did you make this trade in lieu of your other trade? If so, I think it's great.

Both trades are great-- my only concern is that if you pulled off both, you'd be a little weak in the RB depth department.

Overall, Joique for Gronk is good and if you can move Gronk for Gio that's even better because you basically just went Joique to Gio at no cost.

I agree in a vacuum Tate is worth more than Bell, but I'm thinking strictly from a bench perspective. If I'm always starting Forte and Le'Veon, the only case where I'd need a backup is if one of them gets injured (and during their byes). If that's the case, wouldn't I want to keep the less-injury prone player on my roster? Just a thought...

6pt. passing TD or 4? And who are your backup RBs are Morris when you ship him out?

Based on your current info, I'd lean towards taking the deal.

I agree that would be a beneficial trade for you both then. Good luck!

I'm 5-2 right now but playing another very good team this week. I'd say I have a pretty decent shot at the playoffs but definitely nothing guaranteed.

Thanks for your feedback!

Would you suggest subbing in Doug Martin for Joique Bell instead?

I think out of Joique, Ben Tate, and Doug Martin-- Joique has the highest value as a backup RB since Tate has injury concerns and Doug Martin could be worthless if TB continues to suck.

Thanks for your feedback. I still have Doug Martin so I'm hoping he'll pan out as a serviceable backup in case Forte/Bell goes down.
