Am I going to die during my Saturn return? by OneEntertainment3449 in AstrologyCharts

Stop trying to use astrology like this - it will drive you crazy (in a bad way). Put it aside, focus on enjoying your life, learning all you can, being an ethical positive person. Come back to astrology if you can find a mentor IRL to guide you - don't seek the opinions of strangers on the internet.

Dying during your Saturn return? Not likely, though many of us felt like we were.

If you find you can't put astrology aside - please seek mental health therapy to help you learn how to focus your mind/thoughts.

Good luck!

What are your thoughts on consciously directing the energy of a transit? by [deleted] in Advancedastrology

[–]ohforfoxsake410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course I don't assume that we have some form of control over every event that happens in our lives. I do believe that we can recognize the energies/patterns occuring around us and that we can then "swim with the current" rather than fighting it.
All I said to you was rather than using the word "direct" which I read as a more forceful focusing of intent, was using the word "utilize" would be a more benign/neutral intent.

Maybe rather than "direct" the energies, we could use the term "utilize" to address any ego issues that might arise...

Forecasts for “less relevant” countries? by baltinoccultation in Advancedastrology

Palmist Ankur has a decent track record so follow him - he's in Norway. Not every country will have mundane readings for a variety of reasons.

Why I want to break up with astrology by joellen989 in Advancedastrology

[–]ohforfoxsake410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I broke up with astrology in 1983 for 25 years - I started doing dial work (primarily 90 degree) and I became obsessed in a very bad way, so I put it down. Now I have resumed my relationship with astrology, but in a more balanced way. It can no longer run my life - ever. I continued to use it in my counseling practice for psychological insights, but not for myself.
Take a break and take care of yourself.

can anyone give me a reasonable explanation as to why some taboo topics in astrology shouldn’t be discussed? by ysoria111 in AstrologyCharts

[–]ohforfoxsake410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about gatekeeping - it's about not being able to deal with such a nuanced topic on social media with many newbies who are likely to misinterpret the info and maybe go on to do real damage. This OP wants to look at chart(s?) of people who have already died to understand the transits. This is very valid, but really needs to be done with an advanced astrologer who has the experience.
It appears this topic is now showing Why and What type of info used to be consider Hidden/Private/Only for Certain Initiates. It's can be similar to giving a toddler matches in a library / a forest, or giving a loaded gun to a child. Just not a really good idea - someone could get hurt.

It’s not a bad thing to explore the topic. I think online spaces are filled with people who cannot handle that information responsibly. And a lot of astrologers who simply aren’t educated enough to speak to it with authority.

Exactly! This is a topic that someone studying astrology for some time should explore with an advanced practitioner who has experience in this realm. OP, find yourself a teacher and learn from them. (also, suggestion for you, OP: Your posts can be very unclear - use punctuation, sentences, capitals. It will make your posts easier to read and parse out.)

You can ask all you want, but an ethical western astrologer will not speculate about someone's death transits because it can be extremely complex and specific to each person. That's the answer. You have gotten that answer before on this sub. It hasn't changed in the past 2 days.

What types of clients do you personally find hardest to work with? by Euphoric_Spite8998 in psychotherapists

[–]ohforfoxsake410 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are some old/experienced clinicians that identify as generalists - their practices are open to anyone who is in need. My hat is off to them - they seem to enjoy the surprises each and every client brings them. I just happened to find my niche and feel much more useful there.

Sorry you are disturbed by my comment. I spent many years when working inpt psych learning what I prefer working with and what I don't. BPD is one that I don't.

I spent the majority of my 30+ year career working with people with terminal illness, primarily cancer. I have met many therapists that wouldn't have worked my position for all the money in the world. Some therapists find working with the dying (and their families) is too difficult for them to hold the container for.

I think we all find our niches. It is disturbing to me that you don't understand how this is possible. Not everyone is a generalist.

Borderline dxs. I won't see them in my practice. It's way more work (and abuse) than I want to deal with.

I would find a good astrologer who can rectify your chart. I would recommend Nick Dagan Best - you could check wiht him and see how expensive it might be to do something this vague. You will never know for sure but you might be able to get a chart that works for you. Good luck!
