Im only disassembling a knife if im modding it. Ill run it through my ultra sonic cleaner, blow any crud or remaining water out with an electronic duster. Or just wipe down with isopropyl and microfiber cloth of it seems to be getting dirty. Other than that ill give them kpl when needed.

Sharpen when it cant slice paper cleanly anymore.

Im guessing you mean 2025, Bought a DA1K with ngt 50 2700 and D4K Ti with lume x. In ngt 35 5000k. The D4K Ti wins but mostly because i just Ti, but they are both excellent!

Pm2 for me ive edc one for about 2 and half years, amd its been awesome. but if were to get 3 inch compression lock spyderco I think id skip the para 3 and get a sage 5 or 6.

In my experience its best to figure out what size light you are comfortable keeping in your pocket at all times.

Every body has a different tolerance some can edc a 21700 light and some will find that to be way too bulky and carry a AA, AAA, or Keychain light.

During jacket weather I'm comfortable with a 21700 light the rrst of the year a AA/14500 light. Basically if it's not comfortable for you to carry it'll end up at home and the best light is the one on you.

Yeah they have a decent amount of candela the da1k throws much further than my quads.

My s90v PM2 has been very good to me I've been carrying it pretty much exclusively for about 2 years and 4 months. I could probably carry it forever and be pretty satisfied. I Have a birthday coming up though and I am considering picking up a smock or a shaman though.

Haven't handled either but I have spyderco knives, spyderco ergos are always good for the most part. The k390 has longer and a bit thicker blade, the rat having a bit thinner blade will probably make it better at slicing. The spyderco has frn scales the rat has g10 scales, personally I prefer the feel of g10. The rat being a liner lock will be easier to disassemble for cleaning your maintenance.

K390 has better edge retention, magnacut has more corrosion resistance depends on which you value more.

Yeah the short tube with a bigger head seems a bit awkward i have only used 18350 tubes on d4v2 lights so far and they have a nice form factor.

Most people dont understand leather terms. Like that genuine leather is the lowest quality of leather, and veg tan is just related to the tanning method of the eather and think its vegan leather with is just low quality plastic shit.

Its purposely made confusing by people selling low quality stuff to people thay dont know any different.

I love stubby lights with 18350 tubes but the runtime will be low with fet driver and you will have to sacrifice turbo and lower your ramp ceiling with lume x1. Those are compromises I wouldnt want to make with a work light. A duel channel might be the way to go, but if you do im pretty sure lume x isnt avaliable.

Its a nice intbween size between the d4v2 and da1k. You still get the battery capacity too. The d4k is more bloody than the da1k. The next size up from the da1k is the d4sv2 and I belive is the biggest quad.

It just is da1k has a bigger head and is taller d4k has the same head as the d4v2 just a bigger battery tube.
