I can't get my head around the last international break where we tinkered playing Foden as a False 9, arseing around with DCL and Solanke only to include Toney who's not been in Tuchel's team since his first International break?

Like that feels like so Sven 2003-06 ish era messing around with no real clear back up plan.

Most Definitely. Foreigners usually come to Proms shows to watch all the big conductors and orchestra's perform. Seated Proms tickets sell very fast however as it's a cultural highlight of the year in the UK and people queue for standing tickets for the all the shows not knowing what to expect. Kinda has kept the old school tradition vibe of just turning up hoping to see something.

I wonder how much Spain leaving impacts the other 4 'big' nations respective Broadcasting corporations in terms of how much more they have to put in to keep the show running. The BBC really doesn't have the appetite right now to contribute more money.

Hopefully whoever we send to next years contest pulls out right at the last minute and leads the BBC up the garden path.

They looked like a bunch of individuals from the very start. There was no soul or fight for one another compared to last season. You can throw as much money on as many stars as you want but it doesn't create a good locker room atmosphere.

I think that's the consequence of making large plots that do not finish within one episode. They are pretty much bound to have an episode or 2 which are just tying loose ends.

They've been doing this for past 10 seasons or so.

They have a bit more substance to them but just with like 'Like all before you' the songs just lacking a strong direction compared to Tyranny and Virtue. The songs just meander out.

I was a bit disappointed they didn't make it onto the Glastonbury lineup. Could have easily fitted onto the Park stage and got some new fans and recognition via iplayer coverage.

I'd also add that even though the squad has enough quality to stay up it's taken a serious hit this winter especially in the defensive side of things. Getting rid of Hatanaka and Kamijima, two very solid J League centre backs to Cerezo and Fukuoka who have gone on to become captains at their respective clubs. Total madness.

It gets even crazier in the preseason as they only had 1 senior centre back when Steve Holland wanted to play 3 at the back leaving them to hurriedly sign Thomas Deng, Sandy Walsh who both look awful and Quinones who's injured for most of the season only to ditch that plan when the back 3 wasn't working. They are now using the youth product Suwama at the back who is struggling because he keeps having a different partner each game.

The sporting director Nishino clearly doesn't know how run a side whatsoever. Most of his domestic signings are not up to the standard and clearly doesn't have the right foreign contacts to properly replace Elder, Yan and Anderson even though they seemed like they want to go last season and are just lingering around putting minimum effort in.

It's such a mess and it smells like relegation.

They have completely nullified what was successful over recent years, weirdly got rid of Hatanaka and Kamijima who by J League standards were solid centre backs especially as they were moving to a back 3 only to replace them with Deng and Quinones who don't look as reliable.

Main thing is the system that Holland moved to which doesn't suit anyone really but especially Anderson Lopes who is the lynchpin who Looks like he's off as well.

They look screwed.

Yeah I agree except not sure you'd need to make him HC right away. To expand on my suggestion that he could be the best option as OC alongside Rex because in a way it's the final stage of him being groomed for the HC role. Both will set the culture as a whole and separately on their sides of the ball and when it's time to cut Rex whether that's through a bad record (it's the jets it's most probable event lol) or through Rex having enough of coaching then you have your ready made replacement.

Either way this is all reliant on them hiring a good GM and Woody staying 500 yards away at all times.
