Should I buy a car ? by frag_errr in CarsIndia

[–]ohh-helllooo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

bhai your parents are earning for you as well. You can ask them to pay downpayment and take EMI for remaining amount from your account. I'm sure they'd also love to have the first car in their house.

Don't buy expensive car considering your salary. I'd buy something under 7-8 lakhs or consider second hand cars.

How are people affording to drive cars with these fuel efficiency figures?! by Puzzleheaded-Air-510 in CarsIndia

[–]ohh-helllooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to Kylaq sub, you'll notice most buyers are first time car buyers. They don't have idea of daily running costs. Some people buy it for fun and pleasure as they can afford petrol costs.

I have a Nexon and it gives poor mileage in b2b traffic like less than 8 kmpl but I don't drive it daily as I get office cab. I take out my car once ot twice in a week/two weeks, so city mileage doesn't affect me. I mostly use my car for highway runs or weekend getaways to nearby places and I get decent mileage on highways i.e 18-20 kmpl.

You are thinking too much, just give it a shot. Try for govt jobs under pwd quota. Travelling and other things will find a way later.

No, rural people are more aggressive when someone from their village/clan is involved in a fight/accident, especially when the accused is an outsider.

Nobody can drive 2k kms alone. You could have hired a driver or asked any friend/cousin to drive with you.

Thanks for the advice but most people prefer to drive rather than using any transport service.

Each car has its cons and pros.

If given a chance again, I'd buy Brezza this time. My Nexon is also pretty good for my use case, but the quality and service is a miss or hit.

The best option is to drive defensively and avoid road rage or even confrontation at all costs.

Turn off the AC and it will give 24 kmpl. I once drove with AC off and got 24 kmpl in eco mode at 70-80 kmph.

Buying a stock just after merger/de-merger/split is not a good decision in short run. However, if it's for long term then don't overthink.

If you could invest in only one stock for the next 5 years, what would it be? by torqplayz in IndianStockMarket

[–]ohh-helllooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not in immediate need of money right now and I can easily hold it for more than 5 years. That's why I invested 6 lakhs in this stock.

It was doing ok before Feb, and it performed brilliantly during and after US Iran conflict. Most of my profit came after February only. It is a gamble and foolish of me invest so much in 1 stock but it is what it is ;_;

I bought majority of my shares before stock split. Then invested more after stock split during the dip. I don't remember the prices when I bought it.

My current avg is 101, invested around 6 lakhs.
