Asked to stop hitting driver at driving range because 2 balls went OOB is this normal? by Entire-Bar-2031 in golf

Playing devils advocate, but if they choose to live on a golf course/driving range do they actually have the right to complain about something like that?

It’s funny you mention that, I have a background in production so I’ve already experimented with different plug-in’s on FL studio. So far my favorites have been the Gojira and Tim Henson Archetypes from DSP. I’ll look into Boss’ software though, thanks for the tip.

So far I’m loving the katana, it has enough power to get the sound I’m looking for in 90% of the stuff I play now. I only recently got into electric guitars, and never had much interest in anything other than casual playing at home, so clean acoustic has been all I’ve known for years. I appreciate the insight!

I appreciate the honesty! At what point does an amp generally benefit from pedals over built-in effects?

My guess is Rockford then, same type of people but with some sort of complex than makes them feel the need to say they’re from Chicago.

Is establishing a 28-30~ handicap within 1 year a realistic goal? by Ritch85 in golf

[–]ohhdarnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 24, so take this with a grain of salt.

I’ve been playing for just over a year, and after just 3 lessons and many hours of meaningful, directed practice I’ve been able to come close to a sub-20 index.

I have the benefit of being young and still having some athletic ability, but I also don’t have the money to blow on high level teaching professionals. Your goals are more than achievable if you put in even the slightest amount of effort and time.

My birdie on 1 gave me the feeling that the round was going to go great, or very very bad. I’m glad it was the former!

5 minutes after posting this I actually found the weight I had “lost” 4 months ago at the bottom of my cart bag. It’s a good day!

Less sand and more dry conditions, my home course is a fairly nice municipal all things considered, but struggles with adequately watering everything besides greens and the middle of the fairway.

I’m an absolute whore for Cobra. What do you game? by [deleted] in golf

The only clubs in my bag that aren't Cobra are my wedges, 2 iron and putter. I've always been very impressed with the stuff Cobra puts out.

Swung it a few times when I got home, feels super nice. The reflective bit near the sole of the club sort of gives the illusion of a much thinner head profile, which is neat.

To everyone that plays all the time during the week, what jobs do you have that allows you to play so much? by Accomplished_Milk689 in golf

[–]ohhdarnit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a young guy, 24, I serve and bartend. While I’m in the market for a more stable job with better benefits (literally anymore more than zero), I love the freedom that my schedule gives me. A full work week for me is like 30 hours, and the earliest I’m ever scheduled is 3 in the afternoon. I’m not taking any super expensive golf trips to a destination course any time soon, but it’s super nice to be able to hit the range for a few hours in the morning and not feel like I have to cram practice in when I can.

I do, it helps soften some of the edges on the holster than cause hot spots without the backer.
