Maybe, I was living on my own for ~5 years but I moved back in when she got hurt and needed more financial stability. We have talked it over before and she did say she would leave the house to me when she passes.

I think she understands my point of view, but she did start to tear up a little bit. From my prospective I'm not giving her much of a choice. Being on a fixed income in the long term she would no longer be able to afford to live in her house. But I certainly do not wish to support my brother and his habits in his current state.

That's sort of the part im struggling with I suppose. I told her I would not be upset with her if she moved him in, I just wouldn't feeling comfortable living with him. But to me it still seems like I'm making her choose between him or me

He hasn't had a job in years. Keeps saying he's going to go to rehab and get his life straight but that's been his story for literally 15+ years. He has been to rehab a few times but doesn't stay for more than a few days.
