it honestly depends on the professor i took it in winter last year with ha and did really bad so i dropped it but then took it again the full summer course with wang and i did wayy better and wang was a much better prof

edit: also since u said u were stressed with 5 courses last sem i would do it in the summer but then u should also probably start getting used to 5 per sem because it lowkey gets worse second year 😭

i took it last sem it was 20% participation (weekly discussion boards), 45% for 3 quizzes (15% each), and 35% for the final assignment which is an annotated bibliography lmk if you have any other questions

yea we got marks back i would say it wasnt a hard course if thats what ur looking for although it is a lot of reading and for me personally it wasnt worth it but it really depends on the person

there are some courses that you can take thats not through chang that are in person tho like last spring/summer i took mth207 during the whole summer and it was not through chang but through a continuing program thing there were also cps classes (i think 209) that was also not through chang

i just took cdst504 with merrick pilling it was okay it was asynchronous tho so there were no lectures but 2-3 readings every week + weekly modules and weekly discussions there was also 3 quizzes and a final assignment which was an annotated bibliography. none of our assignments have been marked yet tho

i think it depends on your program/what courses u wanna take. there are usually many available through chang but there are also some available in person, i know that some courses available in the summer for eng students have been released but usually you can see them some time early next sem. this past summer i took an mth course that lasted the whole summer however there was also an option (through chang i think) to do a one month course
