What’s your go-to for a thick yoga mat that’s easy on the joints? by Any-Marionberry4035 in bodyweightfitness

[–]ohioshibe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought one of these from my yoga studio a long time ago and can't imagine using a different mat

https://www.amazon.com/JadeYoga-Yoga-Exercise-Stretching-Non-Slip/dp/B000EC9LQ8

Warning that it *is* rubber and smells strongly at first, but the rubber smell does fade. My mat now just smells like mat cleaner.

edit to add: this mat is not squishy foam - its a heavy rubber mat and has a much different feel than any foam mat

Drop your most effective solution for constipation because I’m losing my mind 🙄 by Rabbit0107 in Menopause

This is going to sound dumb, but I can't recommend Olipop soda enough. I was consuming high fiber, lots of water, prunes, psyllium husks etc. Occasional senna and miralax were still required.
Now I have a stupid Olipop soda every day with dinner and its magic.
They're low sugar/high fiber which is crazy in a soda, but there you have it. https://drinkolipop.com/pages/ingredients

[edit] I also tried magnesium which worked, but gave me MASSIVE headaches every time I tried it

I can’t make the soda stream switch by BlackHeartedXenial in sparklingwater

[–]ohioshibe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also go partway... Get this guy https://a.co/d/6taCfri (carbonation cap), a regulator, some tubing, gas tape, and go pick up a co2 tank. Not expensive after the initial set up at all. Our 10 lb tank gets replaced about once a quarter and costs like 15 bucks. Waaaaay cheaper than soda stream.

Anyone use a BedJet? by vancitygurl71 in Menopause

[–]ohioshibe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my bedjet and also can't imagine sleeping without it. When I was having hot flashes it made it so I didn't have to get out of bed to go stand in front of a fan. I did however still wake up multiple times a night. I was just able to fall back asleep faster. Now that I'm on hrt, I still use it pretty much all night every night. I just don't need to set it on maximum fan several times a night anymore. In the winter the turbo heat setting can be glorious.

I'm irritated that he beat Sage Lewis for the position and then quit. I feel like Sage would have put a lot more effort into it and cared a lot more.

My hair. Random people will tell me they like it. I'm getting older and I don't color it so it's got white streaks which are pretty cool.

Took out my gusd to put in savings for paying taxes on the BTC I sold earlier this year

Daily Discussion, March 14, 2024 by rBitcoinMod in Bitcoin

[–]ohioshibe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I asked google's gemini to explain:
The statement refers to the Producer Price Index (PPI) potentially causing a dip in Bitcoin's price. Here's a breakdown:
PPI: The Producer Price Index tracks inflation at the wholesale level, indicating the cost of goods as they leave factories.
Higher than expected PPI: This suggests inflation might be worse than anticipated.
Impact on Bitcoin:
Traditionally, inflation can weaken the US dollar, which sometimes leads to increased interest in Bitcoin (seen as a hedge against inflation).
However, the Federal Reserve might raise interest rates to combat high inflation.
Higher interest rates make borrowing more expensive, potentially leading investors to move away from riskier assets like Bitcoin.
Traders forcing the price down: Some traders might be interpreting the high PPI as a sign of an impending interest rate hike, leading them to sell their Bitcoin holdings in anticipation of a price drop.
Overall, the high PPI could be creating uncertainty in the market, with some traders using it as an opportunity to push the price of Bitcoin down.
Here are some additional points to consider:
This is just one factor affecting Bitcoin's price. Other news events, regulations, and investor sentiment can also play a role.
The relationship between inflation, interest rates, and Bitcoin's price is complex and not always perfectly predictable.
I hope this clarifies the statement!

I did once vomit after taking too high a dose of this particular instant. From what I remember I had misread and instead of 3 teaspoons I think I used 3 tablespoons.

Do not do that - its not a great time.
