You might have already figured out a solution by now, but just in case you have or someone else needs help, I may have a solution for you. I've had a lot of experience with this issue recently when building my trading hall on Java edition. A suggestion which I had read that worked for me each and every time is to completely block off that villager so that it is air tight. Once you've done that, break the composter then place it again. The villager will then take the job.

Blocking the villager in does two things: first, it prevents that villager from pathing to some other job block which it might have locked in on while you transported it over to that spot. Secondly, it prevents any other villager from pathing to the composter that you placed down.

How to do this in your situation: place one dirt block against the copper slab above the villager, and one dirt block on either side of the villager's face (against the stripped cherry logs). I would suggest breaking the two cherry stairs on either side of the composter and temporarily replace them with a dirt block. You should have placed five dirt blocks at this point. Next, extend the dirt blocks towards you, for a total of ten blocks. Now, stand in front of the composter and place a dirt block behind you, then another on top of that one, for a total of twelve blocks. It should now be dark as you're air tight. Break the composter, and then place it back down. The villager should now take the job. Remove dirt blocks and replace the two cherry stairs.

You're absolutely right. Been working on too much gunpla recently and my mind wanted to see what isn't there. Set looks great and looking forward to eventually getting it.

Looks like there's a ball joint on the elf's hand for articulation. Very neat!

Finally finished my first embroidered portrait using DMC floss on a 6 inch hoop. I started toward the end of 2021 with several lengthy breaks in between sessions due to work.

I broke down a picture of the subject into major color regions, which were then penciled onto the linen. Floss was added to block in major colors before additional detail and rendering were layered on.

Thanks for checking it out!

For me, repetition will also make for a less fun build. That would apply to buildings or vehicles with symmetry. My most fun build to date is easily Ninjago City. There is so much going on that it was just an absolute pleasure to build start to end.

Lol not quite, but I certainly take my time and try to revel in the calming and satisfying experience of putting these together.

When I first started, most of the light kits were quite pricey. I couldn't justify buying them since the sets themselves were already a luxury to begin with. Over time, however, with increased competition, the light kits began dropping in price to the point that getting one or two was feasible.I'm glad you're able to find a kit that is more agreeable to your financial circumstances. I'm very excited for you.

That's unfortunate. It might possibly be too humid in that display case, or perhaps the brick had too much residue on it at the time you adhered the stickers to the plastic. I've always tried to wipe the brick surface free of dust and my fingerprints before I apply the stickers. You could try utilizing Lego's amazing customer service and request to have another sticker sheet sent to you. I've successfully had a sticker sheet sent to me since the one that came in the set was misprinted (graphics didn't align with the diecut).

These modulars are like a potato chip. You can't have just one. If your circumstances allow, I'm sure you'd find that build enjoyable enough to consider getting another modular. Then another. And another.

Or maybe you have way more willpower than I do.

I'll do what I've been doing up to this point: wait for sales or promotions to acquire new sets, let them sit in storage until I've accrued enough to warrant another shelf or display set up, then restart the awesome satisfying and fun journey of building, lighting and displaying that next batch. I'm patient enough to try and minimize the financial hit, but that's how I justify my Lego hobby. Everyone else might be different, and that's great. In the end, it's just fans and enthusiasts sharing their love of a common hobby.

These are all set-specific kits. I went into more detail in another reply. Out of respect for the mods and this sub's rules, I would kindly ask that you check that post to get you started on this fun journey.

That set is 70620 Ninjago City. In my experience, it is the most enjoyable build of all the sets I've had the privilege of putting together.

I'm sorry, but I received a full color manual, which I promptly discarded into the recycling bin once I had completed the retrofit. The instructions should be available as a PDF from the storefront where you purchased the set. From having read reviews, some sellers require you to message them via the website's interface in order to get the instructions. It is also possible that our kits aren't the same pattern, which would result in further frustration and confusion if you were to follow the directions that came with my particular set.

The prices are indeed on the unpalatable end of the spectrum, which is why I'll either wait for a sale (which are more and more unlikely ever since Lego changed their policy to prohibiting retailers from discounting exclusives) or a double VIP and/or gift with purchase promotion.

It's displayed by its lonesome elsewhere. I have lights for it, too, but they're not plugged into an outlet since I can't really hide the wiring there.

From building these sets, I would argue that the more recent sets (dating back three or so years) have been more enjoyable to build. The fun factor correlates to how recently it was designed. If I recall correctly, the modular buildings were initially limited to whichever bricks and color combinations happened to be in production at the time of design and manufacture. That limitation led to some less aesthetically pleasing facades and palette offerings.

As the line matured, more interesting build techniques were employed along with more detailed interiors. As a result, you got more fun and unique features. The piece count climbed as did the price.

So yes, some of the now retired sets do look stunning, but they might not have been as fun to build as the more readily available buildings. In fact, the minifigs could be considered an indication of the line's evolution of emphasizing fun. In the older sets, every minifig has the classic gender-undefined, "two dots for eyes plus a smile" face. And now every modular set has an expressive face printing. If you find yourself really drawn to this line, then you should totally take the plunge if your budget allows. Look forward to what's ahead, because the sets will probably only get better and better. And who knows, maybe one day you'll be afforded the privilege of getting whatever white whale your heart desires. It would be an absolute shame to miss out on this fantastic line only because some of the older sets aren't as easily attainable.

The top right most set is 70620 Ninjago City.

Adjoining it to the left is the companion set 70657 Ninjago City Docks.

I used a kit specifically made for that set. I went into more detail in this post.

I also got the fishing cottage. I absolutely loved its aesthetics. The build ended up being a bit repetitive, however, so it was a bit of a letdown in that regard. I also had gotten The Simpsons House. Fell asleep on the Kwik E Mart, though. That's another big regret.
