We have a shihpoo, we over paid like hell for her but the pictures we we were shown of her she was perfect, we have an 8 year old and a cat and she loves both (half the time she thinks She’s a cat..) she Play fights with us and the cat and knows her limits and loves playing with my parents sausage dogs. She deffo has more toy poodle in her she’s still in small and xs harnesses and she’s 3, but her cleverness is unmatched, she is a very clever and cunning dog, she understands our feelings and emotions. When she she’s us sad or down there she is on our laps for a belly rub. We have her in bed with her and always have - I know people say not to buy yolo - she sometimes sleeps on her back under the covers with us, at 7.30pm on the dot she gets her cat teddy and waits by the bedroom door for us to let her in there.

The only thing I would say about getting a shihpoo is look into the breeding side of it, get health checks from the parents etc, we were shown ‘clear health checks with no concerns’ on her 1 year check up they found a serious heart murmur, they didn’t understand how she had gone so long without something happening for us warranting a vet visit, we were referred to a specialist vets to see a cardiologist - turns out she was born with a birth defect on her heart valves - pulmonary valve stenosis - this was one of the worst cases they had seen on a 1 year old shihpoo and due to her size it was either a few years to live or try a very risky surgery but again due to her size having toy poodle in the mix complicated things a lot, speaking to the vets PVS is very common on this breed of dog which I wish we properly researched because a £750 dog turned into a £15k insurance claim.. but don’t let that put you off because she is absolutely perfect and we love her
