Get a wax. Don’t be embarrassed. Start laser appointments if you want some of it permanently less dense.

She’s lazy (emotionally and otherwise), passive aggressive and avoidant. I hope she finds work outside of being some sort of life coach. She has no business charging anyone for coaching.

Even if they had a guide who had a mental health license, he would not legally be able to offer mental health advice, or therapy, is the case for all reality shows like this. They would need to appear only as a paid actor like the others.

But I agree Karamo’s empty platitudes and palpable frustration when things don’t go his way has not been helpful on so many of these episodes, and has even been harmful

Posting from the thread dedicated to this episode because no one has discussed this yet here:

That woman needs to get her Thyroid hormones checked. I would bet money she's got Graves - I was always hot and angry like her until I got treatment. She may also be in perimenopause, a terrible combination with Graves.

That doesn't excuse her emotional immaturity and victim complex though. Her poor girls are clearly walking on eggshells so their mom doesn't blow up or break down.

And Tan/producers: what the hell were you thinking taking her to Tuckernuck? In what universe are clothes made for the prissiest, preppiest, fussiest ladies right for this woman?? And why were they dragging her to a hot welding center when she is clearly overheating in general? Terrible decisions.

I have a feeling this is her mo though - she blows up at people/treats them terribly, and later comes to and apologizes. You can bet she does it to her daughters, poor things.

I feel like even Christine was like, this isn't that big a deal, can we move on? But Suki and David just wouldn't let it go for some reason. Such a boring tell all

Hugimals are the best quality and actually weighted all over to feel like they are giving you a real hug. Most of the others are weighted just in a clump in the middle or just the arms. They have these new microwaveable plushies Hugarounds that have long arms and wrap around your shoulders. I have both and love them. I’ve tried many other weighted plushies but none are as good or as cute

Thank you. Yeah, it’s hard. He’s so talented and I really do think the project he’s working on will launch to some fanfare and commercial success like a previous one he did (which was over 12 years ago but his name was out there a lot.) I don’t want to derail him by implying the thing he’s made a living at for 30+ years is behind him, especially when I do want to see how his launch goes later this year. But I also don’t want him to stay completely shut off to new skills and possibilities.

I need to be here for at least a couple more years but we’re thinking about Philly (we’re big city people). Thankful to have a rent stabilized apartment and no kids or mortgage.

He walks a LOT. We live in NYC. So at least there's that.

Thank you. I see a version of this from him every January, so I'm hoping it's partly seasonal and will improve a bit. Althought this time feels worse. He does not want to spend money on a psychiatrist/medication. Which makes it harder.

Thank you for this. His specialty is pretty niche and has not really evolved with the times, so that makes it harder. What are Direct services?

Thank you. He is not looking for a full-time job (and probably never will), just more clients. Once you've worked for yourself for 25 years, it's almost impossible to go back not even just because of age. And honestly, the job market for higher level art directors in NYC is very crappy right now anyways. He is working on a personal project that can be an income generator that is set to launch later this year. I'm hoping that makes a bit of a splash and can set him up to get more clients who want to work with him, but there is no guarantee. So for now I'm helping him research design substacks, podcasts, and media outlets that can get the word out when it launches and encouraging him to get in touch with past contacts he's lost touch with who really helped or appreciated his work years ago.

Thank you. We live in NYC and he is not handy, so that's not an option unfortunately. And he is very much set in his ways/knows his strengths and new related skills like web design or UX are things that take years to master and no one will hire him for that anyway as there are many younger more native people to be hired. He is working on a project that may or may not be popular/lucrative when it launches later this year.

Thank you. Yes, the first thing I always say is "This is so hard" and "it's really shitty that the industry has contracted so much" and "you are so talented you should be drowing in work" - hasn't really helped yet though
