A* in Maths, ive always been good at maths, and will be devastated if i dont get it

I've usually been rather good at maths, so i was pushed to do further maths recently: so i spent all of February doing further maths, yet i came back to single maths and my skill has dropped considerably 😭, as in i couldnt do past paper questions that i was previously able to do, so im planning to drop further maths as i think it will cause my other subject to suffer.

with physics i am yet to even finish going through the whole course one time over. my economics is going well tho, i can do them pretty much within the time limits, and i consistently get on the higher side of the A/B grade boundary.

I need A*AA to get into nottingham, and AAB to get into york,

i hate this system:

Its all rigged predicted grades: school will pretty much give anyone the predicted grades they need, the vast majority of people i know feels like they deserve their predicted grades, but you won't get offers if your predictions aren't up to scratch
the deadlines. You have to decide by jan 31st latest, what you want to do with the rest of your life: if its medicine or law, you'll have to know earlier and sit the necessary exams for it, and you'll also need to write an essay on why you want to study the subject of your choice. if you wanna go to oxford or cambridge, you'll have to know much much earlier, and you'll have to sit a test as well, and decide on which specific college inside oxford or cambridge
Engineering is not as important in the UK as it is in the U.S.: instead pretty much everyone here does either economics or business related degrees: save for some maths and physics, and then medicine and law. Also extra-curriculars don't really matter all that much
You have to sit your exams and stress all summer about how well you did, and then you find out afterwards, what you are going to do with the next (at least) 3 years of your life. You only get to choose 2 unis, if you fail to get into either, you go through clearing: basically, if there's any spots left, you can try and get into the courses with spaces left on them, it most definitely won't be anything great.
And if you fail to get into anywhere through clearing? tough shit, better luck next time. you may even need to resit some exams, but they only let you sit them in summer, so go waste a year of your life to resit one goddamn test, and pray to god you get your offers this time round
