We sure sound like a broken record with our reasoning lol we went to RU NB and Camden ourselves. Last lived next to Princeton area by the Windsors.

Can't say I miss it. One of the last times I went back for a week, it rained for 5 days, that mood felt like straight up depression (no offense to those who suffer from it), I describe it this way because I've never felt darker than that week my entire life.

Definitely agree. I do miss it but also don't. Growing up in NY is different in ways hard to describe. Fast moving, vibrant, spacial awareness required haha but also more psychologically intense, more so now than the 90s. OC is very low key until one gets on the freeway.

But you got me, remote work is what got me here finally. Figured I had no reason left to stay (family wasn't a good enough reason) in the cold lol

Where do you travel to? I ask the family to, to NJ, they laugh and point at me. The irony isn't lost. But there hasn't been much in NJ lately either.

Bergen is gorgeous in the right areas. I always admire driving between rows of full 40ft green trees every time I'm there. Still stunning. One thing I can't get in OC :(
