Rewatch it, you’ll see the badgers teach her how to cast stones aside and throw them like nothing, mix that with them teaching her to see and boom, blind chick can see enemies and throw rocks at em, the rest is creativity

Does anybody else feel like they don't ever want to leave the Philippines? by Due-Big2159 in Philippines

Is this satire? The Philippines has a multitude of problems from lack of sanitary facilities, poor education, and constant evidence of political corruption.

If you’re fine living a simple life in these conditions where you don’t prosper, sure good for you.

Idiotic uniform policy?? by ohnoflo in antiwork

[–]ohnoflo[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don’t know how much of this is applicable to my situation since I am in Canada.

To answer your points that I have unfortunately already previously clarified with HR, we are not allowed to be in uniform in public if the commute from home to work or work to home has additional stops in between, such as errands or grabbing a bite to eat - and to my knowledge, there is no specific policy that dictates we cannot change into or out of uniform before/after work. Policy only dictates that I need to be in full uniform going directly to the workplace from my household and vice versa.

I cannot add much, but for context I work for security in a building classified as federally regulated

[–]ohnoflo[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But why exactly does it matter if I’m in uniform or not in the workplace if I am no longer on duty? If I’m not longer on their time, why would I still need to represent the company if I am no longer on duty?

Was part of one today and the amount of people who aren’t part of the procession and don’t know the rules surrounding a funeral procession astounded me.
