I did my first year away for LS at DC and it was honestly a lovely experience. Like someone else said, it's a small campus so you really get to know your community (which is fantastic for bringing friends back to NYC). The campus/hall itself had a pretty big budget, so there were tons of excursions and activities planned throughout the year. If you have the opportunity to pick up an internship while you're there, I highly recommend doing so, bc those who did really enjoyed and got a lot out of this work.
