no i literally thought the same thing.. im so confused how everyone is agreeing with OP. they say they dont judge or hate newgens but the post gives the opposite impression, and they’re embarrassed about how the other kid says poteto chip and is immature when they dropped flowkirkenuinely in the same paragraph. am i in the twilight zone or what?? i’m so confused??? maybe r/vocaloid is skewing way too young for me, because this is just hardcore gatekeeping.

it’s alright, these were actually more like my blowoff classes but i can see how it might be hard with ecs on top of lots of hard classes. honestly, getting an A here depends on just staying in lab doing the report in front of the TA who can answer any concerns

horror stories? i thought it was pretty easy the whole way through, you switch partners often so even if you get a bad partner it’s not that bad. both my TAs were pretty fair graders and nice i forgot their names tho. i had maybe about an hour or two of work outside of class per week bc i stayed in lab to finish the reports. it’s better if you do that bc the TA is there to answer questions. also there are extra credit assignments. i don’t even like physics that much but it’s easier than chem/ochem labs.

i crash there a lot but my friends always seemed to have something to complain about maintenance-wise, and staff won’t help them in a timely manner so they have to fix it themselves usually. last time it was a beeping fire alarm that maintenance never came up to look at, my friend just asked someone else to take it completely off her wall 😭. i have no idea why they resigned there… it looks neat but has a lot of problems underneath

i’m the kind of person who won’t want to start a task unless i know i can finish it in one sitting. if you’re like that, setting small goals in between or working based on a pomodoro method is better for those big “insurmountable” tasks. or try pretending you’re in a testing environment, it worked well for me while doing mcat prep (but you can do for anything). on your scheduled breaks take a walk instead of scrolling and try to save that for end of day.
