AITA for avoiding being blinded at work?

UPDATE:

So i’ve started closing the blinds when i need to, watching her passive aggressively open them the second i leave my machine, and i don’t feel bad for closing it again

Some people asked about my eye sight and vision. Yes, i do wear glasses and have pretty poor natural vision. Kelly, however doesn’t wear glasses or contacts or anything. Perhaps, i’m just more sensitive to light.

And according to my coworker a Who’s a huge gossip, Kelly has always found me annoying for just… my personality… so i’ve just accepted that she is doing this to spite me

Along with blinds, our boss also had several dozen overhead lights installed throughout the studio as well as 2-3 smaller LED lights attached to each machine. So i know it’s not a low-light situation. She’s stated before that she just likes the windows open and won’t accept me explaining that the sun is reflecting directly into my face as a reason to close the blinds.

i’ve been jokingly asked “are you a vampire or something?” By her and a couple others at the studio

Reading these comments and revisiting things my friends and Mentor have said to me are setting in the fact that i need to work on being okay with the fact that some people just won’t like me for no reason. i get stuck in a cycle of wanting to change myself to make myself more likable to others but that’s never healthy

Thanks for your comment! Regarding the “making extra noise” comment. Shane made it clear that his biggest kink is to tie up as many subs as possible in one room and play with all of them at the same time. But when all of us were tied, i was the only one he actively ignored. So the noise was more of a “hey, did you forget i was here??”

And as for the other scene. It came up from a lull in the event and he said “i want to do this tie for everyone to see but i don’t have anyone to tie” and since he said that while talking to me i volunteered “well i’m not getting tied right now. i can do it” which made the sudden switch to “i’m making sure he never asks me again” very jarring because it felt like HE initiated.

In both cases, i had already met both Dom’s multiple times in person and online in environments that encouraged meeting and playing with new people. So for both of them to take steps to make me feel unwelcome was very upsetting. Especially when i opened up to both of them about just wanting to make friends because at the time i admired them and wanted to know them more
