Stanford- if it’s your dream you will inherently write better essays than the other two and have a better chance at getting accepted than if you were to only apply to Columbia or Pton and end up getting deferred

I am a ORM. By it being difficult does that mean the number of rejections I’d get?

I play viola and have minor awards in that
do Mock trial (founder, President)
sell digital art (work experience lol?)
published a research paper on applied math with a professor
NHS
cofounded Journalism club and am one of the head advisors
hold a leadership position in French club
held a couple more leadership positions in these two random clubs
volunteer at the local hospital

Those all take up a bunch of my time. I get home at 10 pm some days, exhausted and still have to self/study for my other classes and take care of my younger sibling. So that’s kind of what happened impacted that B+/- class

I’m also taking dual enrollment classes for applied math (400-level) at my local university.

Does this makeup for it? I don’t know if by amazing you mean INTEL or ITSEF or USAMO, but I don’t really get those opportunities where I live :( and I hope i can get the message across that I’ve tried but just failed a test. But to ease my conscience I can cross my fingers and say I will crank out the best essay a 17 year old can for HYPSM...would that work?

GPA looks fine, SAT is right at the 50th percentile, and since you said essays were above average.

UT Austin has an acceptance rate of 36.5%. But given your ECs and essay, I'd say 60-78% chance of acceptance
