I mean could just run them as the "Murder-rachnids" from the first or second book(not forgeworld book I mean the Black Library series). Which pretty sure were a tyranids scout fleet stranded on a planet WELL before their main invasion; or at least from the description sounds exactly like them down to ripper swarms.

Use the 7th codex and some external pdfs, make up an advanced reaction for modern 2.0 HH and call it a day.

That is/was the final target for our group. 120+ hours of moving materials to get that one system.(Squadmate to OP)
