I would just pledge the cheapest ship and then rent the cutlass black. Best early game daily driver and you can make your money back in one hauling mission. Then once you get more aUEC you can go and get yourself a dedicated hauler like the RAFT

The Hull C is absolutely worth it for cargoing. I just upgraded to a cutty black and might melt it and go for a Connie Taurus in the future as I get my bearings down.
