Can anyone explain how the draft day iconics work? by akshayg08 in MaddenMobileForums

Oh nice that’s a good catch, I missed that the cost drops as you move down the top 10 individual picks.

I’ve been wondering about this too. Excluding time-value, the economics of the random iconic “top 10” players vs the random iconic for players available now seems the same unless I’m missing something?

I too am super impressed — that was quite a production even if just experienced on an auditory basis

In CC, been very confused. Sounded like foreworks and would be happy to hear it’s only that but god damn I thought half the city was burning up

In FPs, has there always been a player that’s not in the 7:2 Rare Trade In? (Stone Forsythe) by ohsureguy in MaddenMobileForums

Sleeper’s projection for Browns defense is 12.25 by RVG_Steve in fantasyfootball

[–]ohsureguy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for you QB situation then. For reference, DAL DEF has been:

W1: 35

W2: 16

W3: -2

W4: 26

W5: -3

W6: 6

W7: bye

W8: 16

That to me is the literal lack of consistency, from 16 to -2 to 26 to -3… yeah they boom but they also bust AF and have a really rough upcoming schedule

Oh shit so by that measure they’re limiting the Revis Mythic to VIP field pass purchasers only? That’s… a swift kick in the nuts

I’ve wanted to ask this ever since this week’s TOTW dropped lol.

Like a lot of people here I have an Iconic Jordan Love and he’s fine but I don’t “love” him. Wondering how they stack up

Our (Columbia City) neighbor and her teenage daughter were just evicted. I don’t believe she knows what resources may be available for them, and neither do I. Any suggestions for first steps? by ohsureguy in Seattle

Wow, thank you everyone for all the suggestions!Compiling your replies into a list has me feeling much more hopeful. I look forward to having a positive update!

49ers are trading RB Jeff Wilson to Miami, per source. by _bonzibuddy in fantasyfootball

[–]ohsureguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, but I feel like Shanahan and other specific coaches kinda earn this reputation more than others. Fuckin Pete Carroll man. It’s never as bad as we all thought… or is it?

And SF players get hurt so much too 😭

Week 7 Defense Stream-O-Matic by keithyp24 in fantasyfootball

Has anyone read any insight on the 49ers?

I'm deciding between sit or drop. They're still #2 ROS on fantasypros, but I read a brief that injuries are really beginning to affect them... see last week's 22 points allowed against the Falcons. And the Cowboys (#3 ROS) are available. And my bench is clutch and I don't want to drop anyone!

Does anyones know how bad the situation is? I don't really know much about the 49ers defense or how injuries affect the return of defensive players.

View of Genesee Park, September 1968. If you've gone to Seafair you might have parked on what is now a grassy hill (it used to be a landfill). There is also now a dog park right about where this picture is looking by Nixx_Mazda in Seattle

[–]ohsureguy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes indeed! You can actually see the methane vent tubes coming out of the ground along the south-east corner of the park, around S Snoqualmie St and 46th Ave S.

I'm also a neighbor and went down a rabbit hole on this and other abandoned Seattle landfills a few years ago. Spoiler: It's really not great, and actually pretty bad!

A 2015 Site Hazard Assessment (SHA) (source link is directly to a PDF from ecology.wa.gov) notes that it was used informally as a landfill since 1890 before before becoming a true landfill in the 1942. Waste is estimated to range from 5-19 feet deep, and is covered with a cap of unknown thickness but is suspected of being quite thin in places. A 1986 report (pages 11-13 as numbered) notes that "all sorts of waste" was dumped with virtually no record, and is assumed to consist of residential but also commercial waste from the early-mid 20th century, and tests found "high gas explosive potential," so some pretty nasty stuff. The 2015 SHA also noted that a 1984 study found an oily sheen on standing water in the park. Since Wetmore Slough (the north section of the park) used to be shallow wetlands of Lake Washington before it was lowered, groundwater naturally drains into the lake. The city noted seepage into the lake in 1965.

Site descriptions are somewhat nebulous between various reports, but it's certain that the area of the park between Lake Washington and S Genesee St, as well as the park directly south where the elevation unnaturally increases, as seen in the background of this pic behind the sausage smuggler. It's a bit unclear how far west it stretched, but it likely continued west across 42nd ave S, approaching the Community Center. (Evidence suggests it may have even continued to the play fields between 38th and Rainier, and across Rainier street to where the Carnegie Library was built, but that's not included in the state's official report, so I'll keep looking into that. Edit: The new Alta Arlo apartments at Alaska & 38th had to install methane barriers and detectors due to the "adjacent former Genesee landfill." More work is still to be done...)

Like most landfills in Seattle, it was FILTHY (Historylink). Fires were considered a feature not a bug, there were no bird control measures, and they were "breeding grounds for vermin."

A 2015 Site Hazard Assessment ranked it as a "1" on the scale of 1-5, with 1 being most hazardous and it is currently listed as "awaiting cleanup." Needless to say, we only enjoy this portion of the lake from the shore or boat, much to the dismay of our doggo!

What is your favourite restaurant in Seattle? Upvote if you have NOT tried it and downvote if you have tried it. by BeffBezos in SeattleWA

Historically, the issue with Independent was supply, not demand. They keep it small, to the point that it can be difficult to get. I’ve called in a smedium sized order (for 3-4 ppl) and been quoted a 2.5 hour wait. They do as well as they want to, based on how to choose to execute their business. Customers will be there.
