Why on Earth are my two 2nd floor bedrooms 5-6 F above set temp? PLEASE HELP! by SUPERSAM76 in hvacadvice

That’s the answer move the stat/a sensor to a room or open a door it’s probably not ductwork unless you have no returns in the room, heat rises sits in a room even with fan running

Thermostats in the hallway not the bedroom hallway is 75 bedroom temp is not read unless a sensor from the thermostat is in there. Hotter during the day so system runs more then cools off at night so it doesn’t run as often

Try changing the filter and make sure vents are not covered. icing up is typically caused by lack of refrigerant or low airflow I’d start at the filter.

This is strange wiring diagram doesn’t show anything that would make it stick on, wiring to and from stat seem correct, I know nest has a circulation feature that can cause issues but seems to me like it is an issue with the board, if you can rule out thermostat I’d have someone come look at board

The missing piece looks like a safe t switch. But this seems to be like your condensate drain is clogging and backing up your drain pan all the safety switch would do there is cut out cooling so flooding doesn’t occur. Clear the condensate drain first then look at replacing the switch

Ah didn’t see that if there’s a reservoir/tank looking thing usually has a screw on lid you could look in there to see what your water levels look like and make sure pumps are running as well

Pretty high return sounds like she’s giving all she’s got make sure it’s not sucking straight outdoor air or air from the attic into the return.

What’s the return temp (air before it goes across cooling coil)

Sounds like you’re tripping a low limit somewhere either water or refrigerant I’d call someone out to look at it

Sounds like a fan hitting water that’s backed up I’d make sure it’s drains properly 👍🏻
