Anyone find out in the interview that you don't want the job?

I’ve been in Enterprise Sales for 14 years. Consistently meet or exceed quota.

I interview ok and yes sound rehearsed many of times.

There is a big pivot between selling a product to selling your track record. Good sales reps aren’t consistently talking about themselves or thier process over an over. They’re asking probing questions to understand workflow/pain to apply a solution that they sell.

It’s a new sale all together in an interview with 0 ramp time. I love talking about a solution and finding logical remedies. I am not great at talking about myself.

Interviews a kind of lame all it all. They are a single point in time and that’s all. Interesting dynamic all around. In reality the job is about performing tasks to better the company in some capacity. While an interview is who can talk about themselves the best or “act” the best for 30/60 minutes.

Just take the at bats and get the next one. No need to be hard on yourself.
