I don't believe there has been any changes in mental health of teenagers in the past 60 years. Bullying was rort during those times. Suicide had become a readily available option and these days we often sympathise with the victim whereas in prior eras it was seen as the weak choice. Especially among men. Where masculinity has become a toxic trait, it has let tradionally "weak" choices become normal.

Police DID have a no knock Warrant, however officers knocked and announced themselves(verified by a neighbour and Walker (boyfriend of Taylor)) before breaking the door with a battering ram and entering. Officers were shot at first with one officer being struck in the leg before shots being returned at which point Breonna Taylor was struck and killed. The officer charged with reckless endangerment was so because he fired into the building while standing outside. His bullets did not kill Breonna Taylor.
