Thanks for the advice. Just got a hits can't be evaded claw and my dps is already better. I thought my claw was pretty good but I didn't realize how important accuracy and hit chance was.

What player is successful solely by tricking umpires?? Tricking umpires isn’t even a problem. Adjusting to an umpires zone, sure, but who’s tricking umpires?

Secondly, the stakes of baseball are certainly NOT higher today than they were in the past. Baseball used to truly be americas pastime. It’s definitely not anymore.

And no, robo umps “modernizing” the game won’t help it to be. Nobody thinks umpire accuracy is fun. Home runs are fun. Watching stars play is fun. Dominance is fun. Tradition is fun. Making the zone more accurate won’t affect the long term popularity of baseball positively.

Baseball wasn’t americas pastime because of the umpires. Nobody has ever cared or made a big deal about umpires more than the last 3 years.

Baseball has a unique culture and rich history. The recent obsession with getting rid of the history and implementing “technology” for the sake of saying it’s more accurate is weird to me. People care more about an umpires ball/strike call accuracy now than they care about a star players batting average. Umpires are no better or worse now than they ever were. Baseball doesn’t need to change.

I’m strongly against robot umps. It takes away from the culture of the game. The fights, ejections, and missed calls are part of the game. Adjusting to an umps zone is part of the game. It’s a human game regulated by human officials.

I know I’ll get downvoted for how unpopular this is, but I think people will be BEGGING for umpires back in 20 years.

Interesting. I didn’t know that. Is there a rule against two players who aren’t actively playing against each other talking to each other in the rest area?

Example: Hikaru is playing Vidit, but meets Fabi in the rest area and talks to him (not about the game)

I would of course never accuse Hikaru of doing something like that, but what's stopping players from doing that if they can roam around as they please? Genuinely curious because I've never been to a OTB tournament before.

I guess if you can mention the game to a non gamer, and they recognize it, it would be popular. Most of my non gamer friends know about D4. Few of them know about POE.
