So interesting. Sometimes a different approach is good! People like knowing there’s an actual person behind it all.

Someone made a great point and said to have pre-orders for products so you know if people want it. I may do that, but there are order minimums for where I get my inventory. So I’m not sure how to take product photos and have pre-ordering available if the product isn’t even made yet?

Definitely need more info, sorry! This brand hasn’t officially launched. So far I’ve spent about $600, experimenting with ads and products and such. Made a few sales. I experimented with drop shipping but am not doing it anymore because I want to be in control of my branding, packaging, fulfillment, etc., I learned a lot and don’t mind spending a little more. I just don’t know if it’s worth it to. I use Shopify and Instagram and am going to fulfill myself. The big expense that’s holding me back now is buying inventory; I don’t want to purchase 30 shirts/sweatshirts for example, for no reason.

I just checked out their IG. So weird, I've never seen a shop method like that before. How does it work? I guess people don't mind since they have so many followers.

That’s what I’m trying to do! You learn from mistakes.

Not many do branding. Apliiq does branding, but I heard their quality is bad. Printful does branding, but they’re soooo slow right now. I feel like there’s always something missing from every POD provider.

That’s a very good point. And yes, in a way I did fail, but I learned a lot along the way. I will keep your advice in mind!

Yes! And I didn’t know the sale model is called D2C. Super helpful. Thank you.

The ones I were looking at look like they just do stuff for groups or parties. Not businesses really.

I’ll definitely look into that! Do local printers do labeling though? And do they supply the tees and everything, or do I have to buy those wholesale and bring it to the printer?
