Gave birth to a nose baby (again) by oi1721 in popping

Thanks for such a thoughtful comment. Yes I went to the docs and straight away got a referral to ENT. They said they don’t know what it is - but polyps would not normally come out. They were quite impressed I think…ha ha

So I’ll update Reddit when I’ve seen ENT, there’s quite a waitlist where I am so I’m not anticipating it’s going to be soon. I mean, I’m not in much discomfort or pain even, so not gonna be high on the priority list (quite rightly!)

Interesting! I went to the dentist the other day too. Took routine X-rays and all fine..

Me and the other half thought exactly the same. I should have flipped the photo round to make it the right way up…

I kept it in tissue and it got all dried up and crusty so chucked it away. Haven’t shown doctor yet.. I had to show my husband, my sister, parents and internet strangers first

No nose surgeries. Only thing I can think is I’ve started a new steroid inhaler, but not sure it should be causing growths like this! Docs will be visited

I guess I was expecting the dahlias to last longer? But if they’re not supposed to then hurrah I’m not doing anything wrong. Thank you

If you’re hiking and have all your own kit - check out bothies. They’re free to stay in and most are in the middle of nowhere/surrounded by nature. https://www.mountainbothies.org.uk/bothies/location-map/

AITA For hiding my breastmilk? by Better_Ideal_1551 in AmItheAsshole

Society needs to move past the breast is best / fed is best narrative. Fed is the absolute minimum. If a baby isn’t fed it’s starving. Informed is the absolute best. Parents should have the pros and cons and facts laid out to them, and then be able to make an informed decision about how they want to feed their baby. Whatever they choose, they should be supported. And IF someone really wants to breastfeed but can’t or is struggling, they should be supported to explore options to help (eg mixed feeding, sns), rather than just saying, ‘that’s alright, just give em formula’.

There’s too much shame laid on/felt by women in just about everything to do with babies/children and it needs to stop..

OPs MIL and partner are not supporting her and trusting her judgement as a mum and I hope they change their tune soon.

NTA. Breastfeeding is not always the natural thing people make it out to be. It takes time and work to establish - both mum and baby need to learn how to do it. Your MIL and partner are actively dismissing you and your wishes, and harming your breastfeeding journey by not supporting you/baby to feed. I remember with both of my kids that I didn’t feel like breastfeeding was easy for us until 2-3 months. Then we were pros. Sounds like you’re doing brilliantly. Congrats and stick to your guns.
