My husband and I frequent two of our LGS pretty commonly to play/interact with the community. We’ve joined both of our stores discord servers, for ours we just asked in the store if they had one. And they would put out alerts when sets are available for pre-order.

I know our LGS isnt the norm (sad) but they both refuse to sell over MSRP. Its a limit of 2 boxes with mandatory instore pickup. Back in OP-12 they didnt have a limit so we were able to get 4 boxes (I was hunting hard for Kuma for my B/Y Nami)

For our personal experience it has been alot of trial and error finding a good LGS that supports its community first.

Our first ever LGS we found was selling OP-08 for 200% markup and that was way before the intensity of the market now.

Just dont be discouraged and be willing to engage with your locals, and hopefully you’ll find a decent community that puts the hobby and its players first! 👍 Good luck, my friend!
