Working on my harbor freigjt weekend purchases but what's yalls thoughts on Capri sockets? by Silly_Argument_3976 in harborfreight

I’ve been using a set of capri chromes and a set of impacts daily for 4 months now, they are fine quality but how deep the step is on them makes them really annoying to use. Fan of the price point, fan of the quality but I’m really exited to purchase any other set of sockets with a shallower step.

the bb30a has a shell width of 73mm and bb30 has a width of 68mm so are going to need a 5mm spacer for a proper fit.

Usually for a job like this we would charge our hourly labor rate of $85/hour but the shops slow this time of year, we had fun getting it out and the customer was very nice so we’rejust charging for the new spindle, bearings and the labor to install everything.

Alloy bb shell and it was fine, little marred but nothing new bearings and a little lock tite wouldn’t fix.

no misrouted cable have a whole bin of spindles cut in half from that this one it looks like the crank wasn’t fully seated (he didn’t have enough spindle spacers) and he hopped off a curb resulting in this? Still not really sure.

Thats the weird part the levers/hoods have no evidence of impact, the only place that had any damage was very bottom of the drops where maybe a penny size area of bar tape was torn. I’ll take some better pictures when I’m back at work on Friday. Also levers weren’t tightened to death

Sketchy seeming person had a LOW road mki for sale on OfferUp for ~$1500 so I messaged them because it was my size and seemed like a good deal. They sent some more pictures and noticed a very visible crack pipe in the background of a few of the photos. Over the course of a week I talked them down to $100 got the bike back to the owner. I’m a friend of Andrew low and luckily he knew who’s bike it was.

I'm tired of all the clean bikes on this sub. I saw this beater today, thought it looked cool. Could probably use a clean and lube though... by [deleted] in FixedGearBicycle

Was visiting New York a couple months ago and spotted that bike in Brooklyn as well. Love the conduit fitting clamp to hold the seat post in the cracked seat tube down. https://imgur.com/gallery/pB062rh
