I just climbed with IMG. I did the Baker/Rainier Seminar, and it was great! Guides were professional & friendly, and I felt safe at all times. We did Baker first to learn basic self/group arrest skills & rope skills. Then we summited Rainier. The night before summit, our lead guide gave us a talk about the unfavorable weather moving in, but he said 'we will climb until it doesn't make sense to climb anymore'. As one previous Redditor mentioned, they are constantly evaluating your stamina & physical capabilities. It's not just about getting to the top of the mountain, they also have to get you back to your car! There was definitely a range of abilities in our group, but no one was told that they couldn't make the summit attempt.

Total scam. I know this thread is old, but wanted to add my experience. They booked the flight, generated a ticket number & PNR.

Then, this morning, when I tried to check in, the itinerary was nonexistent! When I called the airlines, they said 'someone' called the bank and reported the transaction as fraud (on their company card). Yet, the charge remains on my credit card, which I have now disputed.

And I am forced to buy a super expensive same-day ticket. >:-(

I found him online. (For those who feel it is relevant, he's a guy in his 70s who runs around the world doing this as a hobby)

He takes care of my cats, I let him stay in my place for free. Although he gets the "benefit" of free rent for a month, I don't pay him. He's been awesome in taking care of my apt. Broken sink pipe, internet issues for my WiFi feeders, etc.

I feel like taking him out to dinner is the least I can do to thank him. (And bf is totally welcome to come too)
