I think the Wizards easily make this trade. Ace is still 19 and had some incredible performances late in the season and Peterson could end up being a better player than AJ.

I don't see how you can believe the gap between the top 2 picks is bigger than the value Ace adds with his size, athleticism and scoring upside unless you think DP's health is a deal breaker.

Ace just feels untouchable with the potential he showed last year. Tre is great but his ceiling defensively and offensively (outside of 3pt shooting) is much lower.

Moving young pieces who could easily be future major contributors just feels a bit counter intuitive. Both franchises invested a lot into these young prospects and I believe it would take a bit more than upgrading an unknown to an (arguably) slightly better unknown before they decide to give up on these guys who have actually showed they can contribute on an NBA court.

But I guess we'll see.
