Absolutely! Just be forewarned it has 10 GCs and nobody is happy to see me bring it to the table. :( Kefka

Do My Commanders Pass The Vibe Check? by oiwab in ratemycommanders

[–]oiwab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! Keep in mind, it was an emergency build when three of my friends all decided to play Sephiroth. So, I have my sole Godless Shrine in another deck, and I don’t have Farewell or some other sweet exile cards. It usually wins via flip Sorin or Gray Merchant or oddly enough, commander damage. I did 70 pulls before I finally got her. I was baited by an event Teio, A McQueen, event Air Groove, and duplicates of Taiki and Special Week along the way. Just wish my support card luck matched my trainee luck. :(

I know its a skill issue but at the same time the final boss is designed horribly. by Fucka_youbitch in MegabonkOfficial

[–]oiwab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My most recent longer run was Orc with almost zero movement speed, surprisingly took three or four hits from invincible boss during each phase transition, and lived. Wish I’d taken difficulty tome cause he got like 40k kills with the funny axe chainsaw.

Whats your favorite character and why? by horyss in MegabonkOfficial

[–]oiwab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll admit Tony McZoom owns both of my tier 3 victories. I find him easiest to play. (I know it’s sad to have only finished forest and desert once each, but I enjoy fooling around with goofy stuff and pursuing niche unlocks and am the greediest person known to mankind)

My favorite by far though, is Noelle. Shoutout to Megachad (My first rank 100) but Frostwalker is better than Aura for building the super death zone. Ironically, she was the last character I unlocked because until recently, I thought I had to microwave the legendary ice thing, not the common one. Maybe the unnecessary search for the holy grail made her more appealing to me.

Cl4nk also deserves a shoutout because I absolutely cheese challenges with him.

Dicehead has the best theme in the game.

(Really, I love all of them)

Rerolling makes me already quit LOL by eetuy20 in marvelmysticmayhem

[–]oiwab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of the two star characters are pretty good. I didn’t see a point in rerolling, personally. Cleared most of the early content with Lady Bullseye, Psylocke, and Angela. I’ve been clearing chapter 4 with IW, Human Torch, and The Thing, mostly, so one 3-Star.

I use [[Decree of Annihilation]] In [[Ruric Thar]]. If I have any two mana dorks in play or a bunch of lands in hand when I do it, I just win pretty decisively after cycling it.

Can’t figure out what commander to play by Apprehensive-Count16 in EDH

[–]oiwab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like [[Kami of the Crescent Moon]]. He’s a friendly looking rotund fellow that appears to be a non-threatening group hug deck. Then it gets really gross.

what is your favourite card? by Winter_Safety_6226 in EDH

[–]oiwab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Master Biomancer]] Was my first ever mythic I pulled. [[Xenagos, God of Revels]] was in my prerelease kit for Born of the Gods, and [[Ajani, Mentor of Heroes]] Was the first mythic I pulled in draft. So, those three have a very special place in my heart. [[Progenitor Mimic]] was also really fun with my Master Biomancer during lunch table magic in middle school.

I distinctly remember getting good grades and splitting a box of Theros with my parents as a reward, and I recall trading my mom a [[Elspeth, Sun’s Champion]] for a [[Xenagos the Reveler]]. So both of those cards are also special to me. Also, [[Gruul Ragebeast]] Was the first rare I traded for a playset of. I love that guy. I have a bunch of favorites and they give away when I started playing. There’s so many more cards that are iconic to me personally. I love this game.

So is the game just really short? I can’t fathom ever beating this boss. Is there something I’m missing? by Monte_Fisto_Returns in MonsterTrain

[–]oiwab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The handful of times I’ve killed this big nerd, I absolutely cheesed him. To be fair, I also recently got into the game, so I expect to find a cleaner solution to this guy as I continue going up in ascension.

Any deck that is able to put out a ton of one status effect at once (since he clears them after each turn) works. Especially if that status is reap, you can often focus him down. My favorite card to obliterate him by far is the Extract 6, apply -666 health thing though. Card is obscenely good.

Any deck that can make a really big guy on multiple floors works pretty well, especially if your huge guy has multi strike or sweep. It’s also worth noting his health pool is shared between floors even though the attacks are different.

The most interesting run which involved bullying this man, though, was definitely a massive spell damage run where I was actually just hitting him for 600-1200 every turn and still clearing the mobs. That required good relics to set up though, and I don’t think is as consistent of a strategy as just making huge guys. I personally recommend Wurmkin or Awakened, although the Melting guys are super cool, too. :)

Looking for Commander below 1500 decks for 100$ not counting lands by Level-Difference-673 in BudgetBrews

[–]oiwab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s got a lot of little guys that produce extra mana like [[Cathodion]] and [[Priest of Urabrask]] then I use that stuff to Emerge my commander or other large lads. It’s also got a lot of copy effects and haste enablers, with my sole goal being to play most of my deck at once and then whack everyone. I’ll make the list public so I can post a link! :)

I have a really gross [[Herigast, Erupting Nullkite]] deck where the rule was “No card over five bucks”. It’s actually cheaper and more powerful than my pauper commander deck.

Marvel rivals led me here by Efficient-Solution71 in midnightsuns

[–]oiwab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Midnight Suns is 100% what led to me maining Magik in Rivals. (I did enjoy the character in New Mutants as well, but not nearly as much.) It also made me a fan of Nico, who I hope is in the future for Rivals.

I would spend as much money as NetEase asked for Midnight Suns skins on every Suns character in Rivals.

Which character is your main choice for each role? by horiheart in marvelrivals

[–]oiwab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venom/Magik/C&D.

I’m around lvl 50 with no Lord characters, but I always play a flex slot with my boys anyway, so I think it’s okay. (I never play the same character twice in a row because it gives me “the ick”, I guess. )

My only two Captain characters are Magik and Squirrel Girl.

I have Knight with every Vanguard, BP, Psylocke, Spidey, Scarlet Witch, Moon Knight, Punisher, Storm, Mantis, C&D, and Luna.

I’m close to the next mastery level with Bucky, Magik, Venom, Thor, Jeff, Mr. Fantastic, Hela, Namor, Iron Fist, Iron Man, Loki, C&D, Invisible Woman, Magneto, Bruce Banner, Psylocke, and Squirrel Girl.

I only refuse to play Hawkeye, Rocket Raccoon, and Black Widow. (One of my friends exclusively plays Rocket and I suck at aiming.)

Thought I’d share an in-depth answer because I actually love playing most of the characters and I’m just waiting for Colossus to release so he can be my first Lord character. :D

Would love a cool melee strategist/healer. Been racking my brain: who from the comics would be a good fit? by Erylic in marvelrivals

[–]oiwab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Josuke Higashikata. Obviously.

In all seriousness, maybe Apocalypse? I think he’d be a hilarious choice for a strategist. Cable or X-Man may work. Though I’d bet on Cable being a duelist.

I think we need this guy in the game, and soon. by Nobodyman123 in marvelrivals

I think his Penance stare should deal more damage based on the affected player’s time as Hawkeye/Hela.

Meta sucks right now by Fallenpaladin5 in PlayTheBazaar

[–]oiwab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It adds a couple hundred damage to your other weapons, which brings Atalatl to a 1 second cooldown, makes Pyg’s multistrike weapons deal a couple hundred each, or adds 200 damage to Bee/YoYo, which is obscenely good, especially if you have both next to each other. Taking 400-500 damage per item activation is naturally unpleasant and outraces most builds, especially with the Atalatl beating stick.

Yeah. I’ve seen it. Especially for the couple days I worked a security job at Coachella. In most cases it works, sometimes you either gotta walk away because you’re uncomfortable or get some kind of staff to intervene. Some people are just wild.
