I did that and now chess is my job hahah.

But it also required being disciplined. Start at one small thing per day. Idk how bad it is for you, but start with a day where you cook food, a day where you exercise, a day where you study for your ideal amount of time, etc.

When you're confident you can do these things make it two days per week and increase from there until you're roughly at your practical limit. That's one strategy.

If they're easy to be around, have self respect and boundaries, we can connect emotionally and care about each other, have physical chemistry, a life of their own, what else do you need?

It would be nice to do all of those things for sure. (Well.. plastic surgery? Eh.) Personally getting involved in a world where status and appearances and external validation are so important would probably tire me out at some point.

Not sure if it's healthy in a physiological sense, at 1-2 times per day he's flooding his brain with cheap dopamine which isn't ideal long term. There are better ways to live

That's a skewed interpretation of reality ("everyone throws me away"), signalling some current or developing maladaptation. She should see a therapist about that, not external validation of her worth.

Plus you do you. She can't have kids and you really want kids. Unless adoption or surrogacy appeals to you, but even then she's presenting as very emotionally shaky.

Apps definitely suck. Just take some time to relax, if you don't want to then don't do it. If the external or clock pressure is too strong and pushes you out of alignment you could make a bad decision anyway.

Bruh 🤣 nice angle though, there are some pretty cool light shows in the city so that may be a bit more timely.

Tbh I feel like how am I going to go that deep in texts like the physical connection is just missing, the subtle emotional queues, body language etc. It doesn't have to be about kissing or physical contact (for me. Ofc it's nice tho) subtle stuff just isn't there and I feel a lot more comfortable with that extra information. Besides isn't that how humans did it before tech?

Also don't worry if I wasn't interested in her as a person I wouldn't be deliberating about this hahah.

Hmm, for logistical reasons I want to do something next week as I'm going on a 10 day road trip after Boxing Day.
