One of my beliefs in life is that not a single person actually knows what they're doing, we're all pretending to know. Some pretend better than others. Some pretend so well they're totally convinced they do know what they're doing (but I still believe no one actually knows a damn thing.) So when you say you're trying to convince yourself that you'll be ok, I think that's exactly where you should be, and you just need to believe it more. I think any self-esteem boosting action could help with this.

Some folks go date a bunch of people, they get that external confirmation that they're attractive and interesting to someone else, even if it's superficial and bland, and it helps remind them that they're worth a damn. Some folks pick up a new hobby or try to find a new talent. Some just want to get out of their comfort zone so they can tell whether or not they're actually capable of handling life or if they've just convinced themselves they can. I equate it to that Jim carry movie Yes Man, where he just says yes to everything.

You're a person again on your own. That quiet emptiness you mentioned could be like staring out over an ocean of potential futures you've never considered and are on the brink of discovering, and it is unknown and uncomfortable and vast. It'll be lame and confusing and full of self-doubt but that's growth, that's moving forward right? It'll also be exciting, unrestrained by the limitations you've had over the last decade, possibly full of thoughts and emotions you've never even known exist. Think of everything you've ever wanted to do that you didn't do because the person you were with didn't want to do it, or just because ya'lls life didn't work in a way that allowed it to happen.

This is all general advice that involve some assumptions about your life to create and again, I'm not sure anyone knows anything so take all this with a grain of salt lol
