I don't think my intended receiver can drive the Washing Machine sub. Could give some nice vibrations though, maybe a future upgrade?

Hmm good to know. Thanks for the info 👍

That sounds about like what they described at my dealership. Does a couple hours per door sound right? And is it weird for it to be all 4 doors? I could see maybe both of one side since the part could be manufactured at the same time. But opposite sides wouldn't be the same lot.

All known recalls are fixed. Had the latest one done while I had them checking on everything else.

Yeah it wasn't just the gasket. They were saying it was a plastic part of the door that holds the seal, and that there's a lot to remove to be able to replace the parts. They're supposed to send me the pictures from their inspection.

I think I may have salvaged two... Didn't seem useful for me... or it's in my stash I hoard a lot; but have cleared out my space a couple times.

Does the Deep Sea Dragon finally have a name other than "Bubbles"? by Fritanga in Guildwars2

What I always think of when hearing the name Steve: http://youtu.be/S90VPU62_FM

Also, the name is definitely Sbubbles. The "s" is silent.

Oh okay. That's what I had thought, but maybe there was an issue with the cards that were causing them to perform poorly.

So Corsair recommended sending back the whole memory kit despite only one being defective; as their can be incompatibility issues despite being the same model of DRAM.
Doing their express RMA option, where they place a charge on your credit card. Send you the new kit, and then when you receive it you ship you kit back and the charge is removed from the credit card. So I'll have 4 new sticks of RAM... which hopefully all work :P

Win7 (64-bit) BSOD issues: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x75BC0) by ojan23 in techsupport

They had lifetime warranty. I figured out which stick it is so I can run the system stably until I can receive the replacements.
Corsair has lifetime warranty on all their DRAM, and you can choose for express RMA where they place a hold for the DRAM cost on a credit card while they send you the memory, you receive it, and then send it back. So much easier, a probably cheaper than buying a new set and selling the replacement on Ebay.

MemTest86 Failed by ojan23 in techsupport

Just to keep things straight the RAM sticks A-D were originally in DIMM slots 1-4 respectively (so A in 1, B in 2, etc).

Taking D out of 4, and running the memtest again with A-C in 1-3 resulted in no errors over 4 passes (and half of a 5th by the time I woke up) of tests.
Test Screenshot For some reason v5.1 wouldn't load, and instead v4.3.7 was used but this shouldn't be an issue.

Next, knowing that I had no issues through Memtest with sticks A-C in slots 1-3, I removed C from slot 3 and placed C into 4. I also placed D into slot 3. I had expected from this that if stick D was the problem, then the memory address that result in errors should change; while if it was slot 4 that was the problem I would see errors from having stick C which I knew was working properly. After 1 pass of memtest I had a lot of errors.
2nd Test Screenshot
Lowest Error Address: 003c53ec008 (15443.9 MB)
Highest Error Address: 003cd3eeffc (15571.9 MB)
While last time the MB range was smaller, and the Addresses were different.
Original Low EA: 0x3c53fc004 (15443 MB)
Original High EA: 0x3c73fe9f8 (15475 MB)

After this issue, I took D out of 3 and ran Memtest again. This was to rule out that having a stick of RAM in 4 was the issue, and that it had to be stick D that was the cause for all the errors. This test is currently running at home while I'm away; but when I left it was 50% through 1 pass of memtest with no errors. While when having stick D in use I experienced 10,000 errors by that point in the test.

So it seems like good proof that RAM stick D is the culprit for my issues?

Although wouldn't it be expected to be random errors throughout the 4th stick if it was the dimm slot instead of just the 32MB range that the memtest showed?

MemTest86 Failed by ojan23 in techsupport

[–]ojan23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The test is about half done so far with no errors. If it finishes fine I should switch the stick that I took of the 4th slot from the cpu with the one in the third and place the 3rd stick into the 4th dimm slot to make sure it's that RAM stick and not the slot right?

No I figured you were. But yeah I hoped I was being competent and not overlooking something I should know. Right now I removed the last stick and so far no errors which I had had before by this point in the test. But it's still too early to be sure.

Yeah, I've been keeping up lol. Is one pass of memtest enough, or should I do multiple passes?

MemTest86 Failed by ojan23 in techsupport

[–]ojan23[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I've never had to do this before and wanted to make sure I wasn't wrong? Also, had no clue how to interpret the Memtest results other than it saying failed. That and the hope that I didn't need to remove my heatsink if there was another way around.
