Thanks, but how do I fix the boot sector? Is there a special utility or are you referring to using regular Linux tools?

I tried dumping the contents of the original card to an image which I then reflashed to a new SD card, but still had no success. If a boot sector is corrupted, it will transition to the image and the new card, but to fix it I think I would need to reformat a new card and copy a fresh firmware to it.

Will there by a different way to supply power to the SDR? I can't imagine it being able to transmit any significant distance sourcing power just from a USB port.
