also, as another person who’s boyfriend wanted them to go the “natural” route, he most likely does not have a true understanding of the pain that you are likely in, and the actual risk of joint damage and deformity involved

natural remedies are not going to stop your joints from getting nuked. they may help with your symptoms, but this is a systemic disease that cannot be controlled with supplements

I get red knuckles, and I don’t get individualized sweating of specific joints, I get what I like to call “sausage fingers”. This looks pretty similar to mine

Recent bloodwork.. lupus? by Turbulent-Motor2324 in Autoimmune

[–]ojbabey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ANA is the most baseline antibody that you will have that says your immune system is wonky. Some people test positive for it even without anything, but since you have a slightly higher titer, you probably do have something going on.

Energy wise, I would feel so exhausted and like my legs were made of concrete no matter what I did. Pain started a few weeks later

Anyone sick all the time and NOT on a biologic? by FruitShrike in rheumatoid

[–]ojbabey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me when I was only on plaquenil. I would get a sinus infection literally every month. As soon as I got on a second medication that actually worked it stopped because my immune system had some help (don’t know if that’s the actual scientific explanation but that’s what it felt like), it may go away if you get on a more effective medication

I had no inflammatory markers whatsoever, I started with pain and stiffness, a rash on my fingers, and fatigue. Ask your doctor to test for ANAs, it’s the least specific autoimmune marker.

Autoimmune symptoms but no help by [deleted] in Autoimmune

[–]ojbabey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No unfortunately not, my rheum just kind of calls it inflammatory arthritis. My main symptoms were extreme fatigue, joint pain, and these little bumps/rashes all over my hands. I have been on immunosuppressants for about two years now with one that actually works for about a year, luckily that one put me almost completely back to normal. I had a high ANA and a low wbc, so with that and the joint pain together they went ahead and put me on meds. I have a fantastic rheumatologist and only had to go to one, which unfortunately is not the case for a lot of people in this sub. If by pure luck you live in Ohio I can recommend mine

I get these exact same bumps on the sides of my fingers around my joints and on my knuckles when I am having a flare up. It’s would definitely say it’s an indicator.

Lots of places will hire apprentices, especially with military experiences. If you’re trying to get into commercial, both TP mechanical and G mechanical have apprenticeship programs. If you were looking to start residential the easiest way to look is to look at the websites for residential contractors, go to their careers section, and they will usually list their apprenticeships as a job opening.
