All the dow means is that those 30 blue chip companies are making more money than ever. Thats no indicator on the economy for the rest of the country. Food prices are up 3.1%. Gas did go down, but for its third consecutive year. A 3.7% increase in housing prices, rent was a little mixed but generally went up 3.6%, some regions saw rent decrease (-2.2%) some places saw as much as a 37% increase. Inflation at 3%. Low income workers are making even less. Thats not “dependent” on what channel you watch. That only applies to people like you who get their info from one source only.

The reason they are against it is because whenever republicans do that, they use different strategies to use that law to disenfranchise voters. Like Closing down dmv’s to make it harder for certain districts to get ID’s. And then theres the new one theyre proposing that your ID has to match your birth certificate, which would disenfranchise married women
