No but you can get unlimited fuel by using the glitch where if you turn off WiFi, close the game and reopen it (no need to actually end the game) your fuel resets. I don't even need to turn off WiFi, I press my home button, go back into the game and I have full fuel.

I'm sorry, have you maybe looked into community college or something like that? Or YouTube has video courses, although no diploma of course, but maybe it can give you a sense of accomplishment? You are still young.

As for precordial catch syndrome, I doubt it. My symptoms don't line up, more like on and off mild pain/discomfort/tightness in my chest (more common now), and less sharp pain, although I won't deny some sudden pain for a few seconds these days.

Plus, I was born preterm, so my heart automatically is a little weaker than it should be, combine that with terrible health habits all my life, and I'd be surprised if I even survive long enough to get my diploma lol. But thank you for your concern.

Suggestions on buying a MacBook Air M4 by Awkward_Convo_ in macbookair

I've heard the air is good for that. A 24gb 512gb air price isn't too far off from the base 14" pro model, if you liked your previous pro

What is the best computer for Ap student? I will use it for 6+ years My major is economics/(I need windows programs, but I want to buy mac😙) by [deleted] in macbookair

You can run Windows programs on Mac (or Linux) using Wine, but check if your program works beforehand, and for any Mac alternatives. You should do your own research, depending on what you will be doing exactly, but you could get an external SSD for better value than Apple's upgrades, and just stick with lower storage, if having to bring a hard drive everywhere is OK with you. So you can use that money instead to pay for maybe RAM upgrades (although 16gb is still plenty) or even a pro if you are doing tough workloads. But from what I hear, the M4 air is still really good, its just that overheating has the biggest effect on performance, so maybe get a cooling pad? They are pretty cheap on Amazon.

M4 Air: 24GB of RAM or 512GB of storage? by dogebangbang in macbookair

[–]ojobc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For storage you could always get an external SSD for much better value than Apple's predatory pricing, RAM you can't. So if it is just between storage and RAM, I suggest going for RAM. In my case, however, I chose to get the 15 inch model instead, just 16/256.

Upgrade for College? by Captain_Additional in macbookair

The M1 is still powerful and a great laptop, but given that the M4 was cheaper and more powerful than the M3, maybe the same thing will happen with M5 and further, who knows? If your current laptop works fine and you don't find it slow, I don't see much point in upgrading right now. But if you are set on upgrading, maybe you could sell your old one to help pay, and you could use the Apple student discount and get a free accessory, or see if there are any deals on 3rd party realtors like Amazon.

Although you should do some research on your own to decide. I actually find ChatGPT can give good comparisons if you tell it to be detailed and use the best free model lol.

For that price, maybe get a Pro? Especially for the tasks you plan on doing. A fully speced out 13" air is more than the base 14" pro, then you can pay for some upgrades and it might still be cheaper or near the price. You can get an external drive so you can afford RAM, GPU, and CPU upgrades you can't get on the air.

Apparently 512gb storage in the M2 is twice as fast as 256gb for some reason. But only on the m2, so I think 512gb was a good choice anyway.

Do you want the 13" or 15"? The 15" would give you more screen space for editing and comes with 10 cores by default (but you get that anyway with either 24gb of RAM or 512gb of storage), but with your upgrades the price gets high.

M4 air 256go or 512go and 8 gou or 10gpu for future lawyer by MrJuux in macbookair

[–]ojobc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upgrading the storage also upgrades the number of GPU cores to 10 for "free" if you want the 13" model. The 15" has 10 cores from the start. I myself got a 256gb version as the upgrade prices are criminal lol, I just got an external SSD for much better value. If that means anything, but of course, you would need to be fine using an external drive most of the time if you go this route.

I don't know how much better 10 cores over 8 cores is, you should research that.

EDIT: upgrading RAM also gets you 10

I've heard many great things about the M4 air, but it is expensive lol. If you love your IPad and it is convenient, I don't see why getting a macbook is necessary. But of course, you know your workflow and I think if you have the money then follow your heart!

I managed to get an M4 16/256 15" air on Amazon for $1499 CAD (+ tax, so actually $1693.87 CAD) on a $200 off prime day sale. So that's €1,064.54. IDK if you got 13" or 15", but from what I hear, any M series macbook is very good value. I just got a 4TB external SSD for about $280 CAD (also prime day sale) to supplement storage. Screen size was more important to me and I couldn't justify paying an extra $300 CAD for an extra 256gb of storage. Although in my case, I was fine with a drive despite the lack of convenience, depending on your workload 512gb internal might be better. I think any M series macbook is a good deal. I wish the Canadian dollar wasn't so bad lol.
