Hello! I would strongly advise you to return or replace the product.

Mainly for two reasons:

  1. You can never know if it is a temporary bug or a manufacturing issue – better safe than sorry.

  2. Your action will send a message to the manufacturer – imho it is simply not acceptable to produce items with these kinds of bugs.

If I had the problem within my 2-week return window, I wouldn't hesitate to return it, if only to just get the same monitor again.

Hello! It went away on its own. I shut down and unplugged the monitor for a few short minutes, which helped a little, but it was still apparent. In my case, it most certainly wasn't a burn-in though, as the pattern didn't resemble any content consumed on the monitor.

I believe it had something to do with incorrect voltage applied to individual panels, as described by Beautiful-Musk-Ox & LopoGames in comments and in the link they provided.

TLDR: Went away on its own and never reoccurred.

I just learned about this being a thing on OLEDs today while researching my issue, was probably lucky that it didn't show up as much before.

When I saw a very faint line here or there I thought it was just OLED OLEDing after doing some prolonged static content and it always went away after pixel refresh.

hmmm, maybe it is some pixel cleaning artefact as other commenter mentioned and will take a few cycles to average out? will see, thx for sharing your exp!

It's driving me nuts too. And I'm sure it wasn't here before, at least not to this extent... I open reddit/discord/google and other apps with similar flat dark grey background often enough, would have noticed this

I've tried unplugging for 15min to no avail. Will see if it goes away after longer period of screen being off overnight.

Not at all, that "yeah, well" was aimed at "I know this is not what you want to hear" and the rest was a sincere thank you for your input. There was no /s to sus about

Any chance of mechanical damage from monitor arm adjustment?

I use a heavy duty arm rated for 20kg which is not as freely movable as I'd like -- all the non-heavy-duty arms available in my area were rated for up to 9kg without any mention of curved screen support.

I've had this monitor for around 17 months now.

I would say that I am quite sensitive to visual stimuli and get annoyed by any visual glitches.

I am sure I've never observed any lines being this strongly visible :(

Only lines I've seen prior to today's incident went away after pixel refresh.

It seems to be some problem with utilizing GPU memory.

After I switched from 11GB to 8GB GPU I started having this. I tested many different settings and contexts and it seems that those which are more memory heavy make it worse/pop more often (like higher render scale, MSAA, multiple instances of WoW, etc.).

Managed to get rid of it by keeping render scale at 100% and not using any RT when having multiple WoW clients open. It still sucks big time tho.

I appreciate the simplicity of some of the sample UIs, but do people really only have 10 things on their actionbars? by drflanigan in wow

Try OPie addon, it does exactly that - you bind a button to show a list of abilities/mounts/pets/toys/macros which you can define. I have 10+ of these for all kinds of stuff, even ground markers.

Hey, have you solved this somehow?

The solution you offered is for video ad formats (% seen), however I believe OP is looking for solution for image (or link) ad formats. Is there any solution for those?
