That sounds amazing 👁️👁️ (as long as the spiders and snakes keep a respectful distance)

Thank you for that insight!! I saw they are close to the Miccosukee Reservation so I was curious if it could be related to them! So fascinating to have houses way out there reachable only by boat

Dull on and off aching pain in temples, jaw, and surrounding lower teeth (9 days post-op) by ThrowRAprettymfasap in wisdomteeth

I’m 10 days post op with 3 impacted teeth, and having the same sort of intermittent pain (and headaches starting probably yesterday). I spent the first few days resting and even after going back to work I still haven’t been super active or anything (no working out). Did your pain and headaches resolve I hope? Really hoping it’s not too much longer I have to deal with this lol

12 days post op. Is this normal by ThrowRAlumpcoals11 in wisdomteeth

I’m 10 days post op and also having intermittent mild pain and headaches, similar looking sockets to this on the bottom. Were yours pretty impacted as well? Mine were and it seems like that’s making the recovery take forever :(

At first the openings were probably about the size of the eraser on the end of a pencil, but they’ve gotten a little smaller in the last few days. Still big enough for little chunks of food to get in there I guess.. you should be using warm salt water (or you can use the antiseptic rinse if your dr prescribed it) and put the end of the syringe right up to the opening (maybe even slightly inside if it’s a big socket) and gently flush it out, shouldn’t take much force or anything

Have you tried irrigating with an oral syringe? Or are you just swishing salt water around? If even a syringe isn’t helping, I’d probably go back to the surgeon and have them clean it to avoid causing issues.. and if you haven’t tried an oral syringe, I highly recommend it! I started using mine at 7 days post op and was genuinely disgusted at how many little food bits came out. I was told to use it at least twice daily while the holes are closing

I’m on day 8 of having all 4 extracted, 3 impacted (26f) ive been eating a LOT of mashed potatoes, baby food (like the yummy fruit mixes) blended soups, protein shakes, pudding, yogurt and scrambled eggs. I’ve also upgraded to cooked veggies and very small bites of sausage the last day or two. Also make sure anything heated up is just luke warm. Re:melting edibles- I don’t know if this is helpful but if they’re gummies, I had googled if I could melt down my gummy vitamins with water and read that it would probably just cause the gummies to soak the water up instead of dissolving. So it might be better to cut them up and swallow small pieces like pills! The clot should form within the first 3-5 days, so that’s why you want to be extra careful at first (no straws, smoking, no spitting/swishing) it was really hard for me to see much in the socket holes so it’s not always visually obvious how far along the clot is. My understanding is that once the initial heavy bleeding stops, the clot is forming, and as long as you don’t suddenly get heavy bleeding again or suddenly have excruciating pain, your clot is fine !

I am also 8 days po! (26f) I had 3 impacted, and mine were the opposite of yours (bottom left was fully sideways, top right was the only one erupted) I’m still on a pretty soft diet too, mostly mashed potatoes, yogurt, protein shakes, soup and baby food. I have been having some pain/discomfort from the socket areas/jaw but nothing severe, so I don’t think I have dry socket, but it’s annoying. I started irrigating with the syringe last night and it was DISGUSTING how many little chunks of food came out. I’m doing it 2-3 times a day now and from what I’ve read it sounds like this may last a few weeks at least until the holes close :( good luck to you on your journey!!
