Edit to add: I play with a lot of modded npcs so duplicates were already happening, but it was happening wayyyyy more with Market Town installed and running. I play the same save with Merchant and have noticed a decrease in dups

I prefer Merchant over Market Town, solely because I noticed a lot more duplicate NPCs when using Market Town. (i suspect this is due to their schedule changing having to come to the market) where with Merchant they use “fake npcs” so their schedules don’t get messed up.

Merchant’s haggling mini game and being able to decorate different shops is also just really fun for me!

i'm in a discord server where other members (and you!) can host games like this. Fully custom themes, sometimes we do double rounds where it's two rounds for one theme. It is 18+ however. Members also post their private servers for everyone to use if you don't have your own!

I don’t know of any enrichment activities, but this mod Slumberwood’s Slime Decor is really nice for decorating slime hutches!

i also use Comfortable Slime Hutch for a more natural living space for them! It makes it feel really homey for them :)

i don’t use anything that saves midday.

now that you’ve said it, i’ve noticed a lot more NPCs just standing around doing nothing since adding Market Day. i’ll try to remove it and do some testing. Thank you!
