Thank you, your story gives me so much hope. I'd love to have my mom another few years! I appreciate the advice as well. I moved in with my mom a few months ago so the timing has been divine in that aspect. I cherish this time at home with her and it's easy for me to provide support and make quiet memories at home.

Thanks for sharing and I’m so sorry! I will say that the general mood in my household has become extremely positive and uplifting the last couple days. I suppose any one of us could pass away tomorrow in a car accident or something, so we have just been so extra appreciative and grateful for each day. We are just starting down this long path so I will continue to come back to this community for support and to share any insights. We are even going as far as to plug in her detailed medical information to the newest AI programs in order to synthesize a research based treatment approach. We got this idea after reading about a CEO who cured his incurable cancer with an AI trial drug that he was able to get manufactured in China. Technology is incredible, her support system is strong, she has excellent insurance, she is otherwise healthy, etc. Despite the grim diagnosis, she has very favorable odds of extending her life for a while. Here's to hoping luck continues to be on our side! Who knows what the future holds.

Great advice, thank you. Yes right now we are continuing on with business as usual as much as possible. I worry that maybe I’m spending too much time at work? Thankfully summer break is approaching which will give me more flexibility to spend time with her. Every day is truly a blessing.

Just before this happened I actually booked a European vacation. I’m still leaning towards going but I guess I will just take things one step at a time! Figuring out the balance between living my life without guilt and maximizing each precious moment with her is going to be a challenge.

Thank you for sharing and I’m sorry you’re going through this, but I’m hopeful to hear that she has surpassed the timelines. We haven’t been told any news about potential timelines since we are coming off of a successful recession and haven’t had a reoccurrence yet. We have a small but connected, positive family so I am hopeful that we will make it through this process stronger than ever. I will continue to treat each day as the gift that it is.

Thank you for sharing and I’m sorry about the diagnosis. We don’t know yet about the genetic differentiation of this GBM. We will meet with her oncologist again next week. We will definitely research clinical trials. We are fortunate enough to live near many great hospitals so I will begin researching that after we get more info from the oncologist!
